aespa DRAMA mini album discussion thread

I liked Don't Blink and Trick or Trick It's not an album that stands out, but it's still not bad.

I really like 'You' but overall I'm underwhelmed

Step down from My World imo. It doesn't have a 'Im Unhappy or Thirsty' which kept me coming back and revisiting the album

i love hot air balloon and yolo. they're so fun! they don't match the album at all though lol. all the other songs had potential but are pretty bad

Hot air balloon and yolo should been on MY WORLD

You and Better Things.

It's disappointing to me, My World is a lot better. At least Drama is easily one of their best songs.

I think Trick or Trick is the best b-side

Unfortunately I couldnt enjoy any of the bsides, Drama is indeed tiers above all the rest. I feel like all the other songs minus Better Things have sort of an outdated vibe, like SM used songs that were on the shelf for decades before removing the dust and tried to release like it's new. It's disappointing. This album would have matched darker songs a lot more.

THAT WAS JUST WHAT I WAS THINKING most of the songs actually sound like red velvet songs

Not a single standout track there besides the single & it's honestly either their 2nd or best ever single

For me it's their least impressive album as a whole, but that's also partly because I've heard most of the songs before. Still a solid album, if just not that cohesive. Drama is amazing and I actually really like YOLO. The rest are fine but not like Thirsty, Illusion or IMYC level.

I agree with some of the comments above that they should have swapped a few of the songs from MY World and this one.

Maybe YOLO, Hot Air Balloon and Better Things to MY World and take Salty & Sweet, I'm Unhappy and WTMW to Drama

i think it kinda make sense now. Drama was supposedly the title track for AE1 and im pretty sure they have planned Salty & Sweet, Im unhappy, Thirsty with track videos so they just go ahead with these 3 + WTMW + new title track Spicy.

Kinda hope they just released Hot Air Balloon, YOLO back then together with the MY WORLD album since they fit much mhch much better there
