As a gay man you are indeed correct. In reality people thinking that way is stupid and does nothing to help LGBT. In reality the hard pill for the fake woke to swallow is we are the minority the vast majority of humans on earth are straight and this goes for celebrities too. For everyone one gay idol in the industry there's 10 who are not. So the chances your faves are gay is next to zero unless your fave is Holland? Out of the popular BG? There might be a total of 6 that are gay and not all from one group either, so good luck with that.
A big group like seventeen or NCT there's a good 95% chance everyone of them is straight so don't get your hopes up people actual gay idols are RARE almost as rare as a non Asian person being a successful kpop idol

No one was gay in the Backstreet Boys.
I do agree with some past posts in part by the simple fact that the pursuits in the arts field - like dance - are societally not seen as "manly". Thus, men who want to appear "manly" are less likely to see it as acceptable to enter those fields. Gay men who are open with their sexuality are more likely to be attracted to such a field.
BUT - it only means that the likelihood of gay men being attracted to the field is increased. It doesn't mean that all idols - or even a major part - are gay.

Historically LGBT people are overrepresented in arts. Of course not to go as far are suggesting majority of artists in any field are LGBT, only that a fair portion of idols must to belong to LGBT group which forces them to hide and equally decrease their odds of getting caught in dating rumors as most of their social circle are same sex coworkers and/or mates from other arts industries like actors and other idols

That in itself is a stereotype, because historically people used the word gay to insult or defame their rivals and successful men in general. Like take Da Vinci for example, there are no records about his personal life other than some folk calling him gay and accusing him of sleeping of his pupils. Or take politicians and ruler like Julius Ceasar, all the accusations of him being gay come from his political rivals. It is almost like gay as an insult existed since humanity existed and Da Vinci and all the other artists were no more gay than Justin Bieber or BTS.

Their sasaengs most likely know who is dating and who is not, they just don't share so It won't hurt their faves' reputation. Only If they piss one of them off...
Exactly. Sasaengs know everything and depends only on them if the info is going to be released or not
I was surprised when we got an announcement of chen getting married and expecting a kid and it turned out the fandom knew that he was dating and who he was dating.
There's ofc companies paying dispatch and other media outlets to keep it to themselves

- Many r probably dating non celebs, that won’t be reported on unless the idol speaks on it and I heard that usually idols do date non celebs but idk how true but it makes sense tbh
-companies/sasaeng fans r protective of the rumors, that could have to do with an idol being gay/lesbian/bi because no one would report on that anyway
- they also might be only hooking up with people and fans don’t want that out
- they just don’t want to date and stuff
I doubt kfans would openly share anything like this to international fans because it will backfire

There's also a mess with tae and jennie, or jungkook and the tattoo girl that happened way back. We all know what happened to chen.
Those who know who their faves are dating keep their mouth shut to protect them because they know it will negatively affect their careers
