In your opinion who's the most talented group & idol in kpop ?

Mamamoo for group no doubt.

Idol is impossibly difficult. There are a lot of talented idols.

Idol: Soyeon

Never seen anyone as talented as EXO. Objectively the only group that has it all.

Most talented idol is Byun Baekhyun

Idol: Hyolyn

Group: The Grace. Tbh this question is hard, I voted for The Grace because they are spetacular singers, the best sm female vocalist was in this group, and Stephanie is an amazing dancer.

Idol: Hyolyn, no doubt. I value vocals the most, but she's an amazing dancer and good rapper too. But Hui is a special mention, very good vocalist and composer. Usually I don't mind self producers idols, but Hui songs are so good.

Group : Mamamoo (no hole at all)

Idol : Hyorin, Minzy, BoA, Soyeon, JK, GD, Suga, RM, Hobi, Mino, B.I,

as a unit: Red Velvet, Loona, and NewJeans

as a soloist I'd say Sunmi

Group: Seventeen. They have amazing dancers, a solid vocal line e decent rappers. They are self produced, can compose songs and even do choreography. So imo, they are the most talented idols. There is no talent hole there either, each group has enough skills and talent to bring something to them as a group

However...

While they are arguably the most talented group, I believe this is due to the sheer amount of members. Everyone is talented in Seventeen, if I randomly pick 5 or 6 Seventeen members I'm sure I could form a group with solid vocals, rap and dancers. I other hand, I don't think they would be any better than other groups. Still finding remarkable how they have no dozens though, very hard for a 13 members group

The other options I had in mind such as IOI and WSJN are equal, too many member is what push them in the rankings

This is a very hard question to answer btw. I can pick NCT 127 who are above average in rapping and vocals and outstanding dancers but have members who are a bit less... impressive talent wise, or more compact groups like Shinee, Mamamoo or BtoB who are outstanding in what they are specialized in but lacking in certain area they never tried to develop

There are even cases where the member talent become close to useless in the group because the group lacks specific disposition for the idol. Ex, on EXO Chanyeol is a good vocalist, he composes and produce songs but both talents are a waste in EXO because 80% of his lines are rapping and his self producing songs are simply not released as groups songs

Many idols vocal and dancing skills are severely underused Inside their own lineups

Hyorin (amazing singer, amazing dancer, great rapper, and amazing performer. Also she involved into writing lyric and producing too)

iKON, sadly idk why people sleep on them. They're self produced group, even have daesang for that. Music, A&R, MV, choreo, they are directly involved in all of those. They're so good at hyping up the crowd, their live vocal is top tier. And above all their discography is saur good, they can do any genre from Hiphop, pop, ballad, retro synthwave, trot. That's how good they are in music!

Check out their latest single "PANORAMA" and "T.T.M", you'll know why i said their music is so good

Soyeon - IMO if you don’t write and produce your own music you don’t even qualify for the most talented. This rules out the vast majority of K-pop idols.
