I really liked her as an actress.

It makes me sad she will probably never recover. She's even been banned from KBS.

I think her treatment is too harsh personally.

She made a terrible mistake. Yes.

But the way she's been totally villainized is unfair in my opinion.

    I'll miss her in Kdramas.

  • nothing wrong with getting drunk

but drunk driving is a very different story

people are dying because of drunk drivers

she can still have life even without being an actress

  • What happened to her?

She drove after drinking and crashed her car causing a power outage in the area.

It became a big huge media storm and she became a villain to the public. KBS banned her.

She has apologized. And seems to have recognized the grave mistake she made. But it seems to have not mattered. She's essentially lost her entire career.

    I understand it's serious.

But she also didn't actually kill anyone or even hurt anyone physically.

    Power outage yes.

I just think losing her whole career is too harsh in my eyes.

But I know people feel differently.

  • Think she may have dug herself in deeper with some of her actions afterwards.

Like there were pics released of her working at a coffee chain (presumably to make her seem humbled) and then the coffee shop released a statement saying she'd never been employed there but her friend was a part-timer.

Yea I don't know what that was about?

    Did she truly fake that?

I guess I had heard about the rumor and the denial but didn't know what the outcome was.

  • As someone who lost a friend cuz of a drunk driver and how everyone who learns driving understands that it is responsibility, I don’t feel for her at all.

She’s lucky that no one died and what she did could have killed someone. It also seems her insincere attempts to garner sympathy made ppl even more angry. If she truly understood her wrongs, she should have sincerely took a hiatus and do community service to stop other ppl from driving drunk and then come back. Not fake working at a coffee shop - it rubs me the wrong way. In the end, her own actions hurt herself - don’t blame the public.

  • No she actually deserve it

Because of the crash the electricity supply was cut off in 57 places including in some shops who lost a lot of merchandises

Then she upload a picture of her at a cafe saying she was working part time and was reflecting but then the owner of the coffee chains said that she never worked in any of their coffee shop

During her trial she ask for a lower fine because she was the breed winner of her family and she had a lot of financial struggle

But then a picture of herself playing poker and gambling was upload on internet and people said that she was smiling and didn't have any problem with money to charge her game account more than once to play for 3 hours and order food and beer ( even if she said that she quit drinking alcohol at her trial to get a less expensive fine and prove that she self reflect)

That's the real reason why koreans actually hate her because she messed up then lie to get a less expensive fine and show no self reflection or true regrets about her actions and she keep telling lies to try to clean her reputation but the truth always came out

If it was just a DUI accident she would have no problem so much celebrities came out of a DUI accident with no problem on their reputation

  • If this is true, its so damning and I can understand how she's dug her own grave - and in the public eye. Like why? I get you were an actress and your job involved pretending, but wake up, people don't actually like deceit and to be made fools of by a faker.

  • She could come to the US and get a job acting immediately. Incidents like these just give the person free publicity here and sadly they usually never learn from their mistakes

It is because there was a post made in february on pann about kim saeron playing poker and gambling but nobody believe it

Until dispatch release the picture in april of her playing poker with the statement of one of her friend

And honestly i think this girl is going through a lot because i remember how she stopped hanging out with a lot of her former celebrities friends in the past and since then her career just went downhill

For example her and yeri were friends for many years and yeri always kept receiving message about how she stop hanging out with saeron and abandon her

So i guess her former friends have been seeing that she was self sabotaging herself probably for many months before the incident
