Is there any chance the next Twice comeback won't be an outdated boring boy group song?

Let's first start with a correction: TWICE has never released a boring boy group song.

JYP as a company is floundering and out of ideas. They've shown, in my opinion, sparks of great music still with The Feels and Pop...but they don't seem to understand what Korea likes, and recently even what international Kpop fans like.
Every song on SK's last album basically flopped and no one outside of the fandom cares about them, the same for Itzy and Twice's Ready to Be. It's a strange situation.
I think JYPE hasn't removed any of the people in the creative positions and Misamo was met from Once and the wider Kpop community with luke warm to poor responses and the latest teasers for Cake appear poor. Coupled with again Stray Kids recent poor showing and the disaster of Nmixx's 1.5 star reviewed Whatever O'Clock....ask yourself do you have any confidence?
Personally I don't. It's gonna be more outdated, boring, rushed crap.

Tbf to JYPE, Twice also likes those boring ass boy groups like Set Me Free, same with Misamo. But they will eventually go back to The Feels like songs

Yes, this is unfortunate. I know Twice has become obsessed with the idea of showing different sides each comeback and having a hand in picking the songs...But it's clear that Kpop groups need specialist managing their careers and direction most of the time.

This kind of feeling.
Hell just straight up re-release this very exact song.
I'll cheer.

Yes actually.
Maybe not exactly as cutsey.
But I would love if they sang more soft and warm music.
Something like this.
I want the warm feeling back.

Fixed it for ya.
As for Twice specifically, i'm not getting the specific criticism of Set Me Free/Moonblight Sunrise as "outdated" while praising The Feels and Pop. I think the latter two are much more closer to Twice's old discography and therefore much more vulnerable to being called "outdated". While songs like Set Me Free and Moonblight feel like Twice has been NewJeansified and is copying the latest trends with moody RnB stuffs.

Seeing you turn into a Twice hatter is sad honestly
is anything not positive considered hate?
im sure some here would think of me as a twice hater too since i seldom have anything good to say about their music or skills + my username does not help, but I used to be a huge twice fan on my alts
it just so happens that a LOT of people seem to think twice's recent music has been bullshit bland
which means you're seeing too many negative comments about it
which is overwhelming and looks like organized hatred
but its really not
its just time to accept their music isnt some objective masterpiece most people are bound to like
this is very different from commenting on their human rights or mental health or something that might be actual "hate"

I disagree. Pop and The Feels are quintessential Kpop songs. Cheesy, up beat, goofy and fun. They were almost universally loved by the Kpop community instantly. They avoid feeling dated as the ride hard into the self contained Kpop bubble.
Songs like Moonlight Sunrise, Set Me Free, etc are trying to be modern pop songs that beyond being Korean language don't really feel like Kpop at all...it's a them we continue to see in Kpop right now. More western influenced pop. This is an issue considering no one at JYPE seems to have their fingers on the pulse of modern pop so they are using sound and tropes that haven't been trendy in years and the songs sound generic and boring.
New Jeans primary sounds borrows from early 00's rnb and pop, while Twice is different in the sense that they use Y2K imagery but their sound pulls a lot from the retro samples of the late 2010's and thus feels very outdated if they get it wrong, which they have been lately.

We have provided more information on this in our privacy policy. You want them to sing ballad type songs. I'm sure you're not new in kpop and you definitely know that such songs are always kept as bside tracks than title tracks. Ppl will always check out the most hyped songs over the soft warm music. Stray kids also has many soft and warm music like Sunshine, Gone away, I am you, TMT, For you (mixtape 3) but they get low streams cz ppl usually check out the more EDM and hip hop based songs. So even it's your preference but companies will go for majority to earn more money. Besides, twice's songs are still good idk why you guys complain.

I agree but no to this extreme like OP always shows.
Twice recent music is good, it really is, if we compare their older bsides with their newest ones they can't even be comparable, the newer music is technically better, as pop pieces they are better crafted. But they've lost something, they've lost that feeling of happy music, when I hear their older songs they make me smile, they have that warm in them that just brings you happy vibes, and they've lost it, even that with some besides and the feels you can still feel it.
That's as a group, now they are trying new things as soloists and subunits, and here I think differently, Nayeon makes sense that she could drop a happy album with the old twice feel, but misamo and jihyo?? I don't see them carrying an album by themselves with an older twice sound to it. And I think don't touch me is really good and suits the members really well.
To finish, I accept every personal opinion, but approaching Twice image just as some trend, like you wouldn't have a problem with the music or image if Korea loved it, imo it's very shallow and sad.
