first of all soloist usually doesn't sell a lot unless they are promoting as solo in the same time of their group activities like BP

and 99% of soloist are non big 4 artist so it doesn't really help to build a fandom ready to buy in mass

jisoo is selling like a girl group almost 1.5M which is very impressive given that she is only a member lol she was the second after ive in album sales for this year for a bit until the other girl croups caught up with the sales.

Indeed. I don't think it's too surprising to see Chaeyeon on the list, given that she released a new album (Over the Moon) in April.

This is a great chart because it shows just how hard life is for female Kpop soloists. That's why folks shading Izone soloists are living in some dumb dreamworld where they think 40k, 60, 80k, 100k plus sales are flops. When in truth, selling even just 50k as a female Kpop soloist puts you in the top 20 alltime probably on Gaon.

Practically the only way female Kpop soloists can sell is to be part of a hugely popular Big 3 GG like RV, BP, Twice, SNSD. If you look at the top album sales since Gaon started tracking in 2010, it's literally almost all soloists from these groups. Plus IU.

MMM, Miyeon and my Izone girls are the only exceptions.
