You liking their songs or not, they have bigger audience than 99% of the groups including the ones you stan, unless you are a Blink, Once or Army and knowing it was all self produced it's something to be praised
Never saw Stray kids lyrics, but isn't bad in a kpop normal way? Soyeon is being called out because the song went beyond that lol I'm not into Stray Kids music and I used to say they should change their style to get a hit, but if this style is working for them and they have lots of fans, then that's okay.
If they want a hit song, then they should hire outside compositors for sure, but that's a riscky move, their fans could drop them because they like Stray kids own style (similar to Sneakers, was a hit, but the fandom wasn't happy at all)
I think only fans listen to BGs while GGs have a more casual listener base hence also the criticism for them is more severe.
