When akgaes of weak/bad singers ask for more lines, how do you feel?

I think they are entitled to.

I don't care how much better someone is as a singer, there should be some level of fairness to the distribution. Not even, just fair.

Using your Sohee example, she might be a weak singer, but she was also a huge part of the reason they blew up and were recognised as a top group. She contributed in her way, and deserves a fair proportion of lines.

It depends on how bad they are though. When there's not much difference in skill among the group, might as well make the line distribution fair. I mean the popular idols are the ones carrying the group. It's only fair to give them lines, at the very least, similar to other members.

I think Taemin naturally had a talent, probably when he was teenager SM didn't give lines in the first place so as not to hurt his voice. I know that vocals have been developed through hard work. But Taemin is not even a sub vocalist, he has reached the main vocal level. Taemin's debut vocal would probably be a good sub vocal in this generation. The standard used to be higher.

SM's vocal trainer refused to teach him and called him tone deaf

He used to learn from Onew on SM's roof top. He had a really big determination.

Bahiyyih come to my mind right away esp bc I kinda dislike her vocal color. She's not that bad but she's not that good either to get a lot of lines. She deserved more lines in their TT other than adlibs but I don't really mind their current line distribution.

Sm teacher is may be wrong. Maybe he didn't want to deal with it. Not everyone is a good teacher like Jjong and Jinki. Teaching takes patience.

I see nothing wrong with it.

Customers can suggest/demand for products to be altered I they are not satisfied.

Akgaes/Solo stan or group stans are customers. They are all the same!!!

To each their own but then please be realistic about encores performances

If it's a smaller group,a fair line distribution should be doable no matter what.

If it's a larger group,priority should def be given to the better vocalists.

Sometimes a great song just doesn't match your bias voice range and tone, get over with it. Better than have a weak vocalist ruining part of the songs lines

And if they want more lines, just man-up and send them to vocal training classrooms

Lines should go to the member who suits them the best and is able to handle them. There are always some easier lines to sing anyways in a Kpop song for the weak vocalists.
