You can never satisfy everyone. If they perform recent songs, people will complain they dont perform old classics. If they perform the classics, people wonder why they don't perform recent songs.
If only a concert is more than 2-2.5 hours long...if it is then people complain they're worked too hard.
I've seen them every world tour and seen them perform the classics many times. Don't get me wrong, they're incredible every time....but...
Twice have one of the largest discography, it's not like they have 30 songs...
It's impossible to make everyone happy in 2 hours.

I think it's reasonable to have covers for this. Besides Nayeon, nobody has any official solo music.
Im actually surprised Jihyo and Chae had original songs. I'm not sure how I feel about it... I think I'd much rather they save it for something official instead of a surprise during a concert. But I get it, it would be a huge shock factor if every member had an original song to perform during the concert.
I've never been a fan of too much focus on individual performance during a concert. I kinda felt this way too when I went to DC concert and each member had like 3 minute solo performances for a group with that many members.
So I'm kinda glad Twice solos were 1-2 minutes long but this is a matter of personal preference, I don't think we can argue if this is right or wrong thing to do.
I think due to the solo’s it would be difficult to sing all the group songs they wanted too, so they just focused on recent ones

It is all cool and I'd actually buy into your explanations......if Jihyo didn't o on Bambam's show and literally say they're embarrassed to perform Cheer Up and TT. Now you add that to this, and then you realize this is on purpose and not from the company but from the members. They'd rather perform Dua Lipa covers than their hit songs properly.
They got popular in the west with their new songs, not their OG bubblegum pop...so it makes sense that those songs were excluded.

Why would I care about 2010s hits of western artists I don't even like? If they want to do covers so bad, they could at least cover Kpop hits or universally loved eternal songs. Why would I want Dua Lipa song instead of an actual Twice song.

I agree. I looked at the solo setlist and was like what in Sam hill are these songs? I only recognized 7 Rings. Imagine if they did covers or even remixed Kpop versions of these legend songs instead
