I think Twice and Red Velvet had some songs that can be called summer bops in Korea.

But from both of those i would call RV with Red Flavor

I think it's still Sistar that are most known as 'Summer Queens'? I can't think of any 4th gen groups that have taken over the title.

Red Velvet might once have qualified, but I don't think their newer Summer songs solidified that title, more the opposite.

I don't think that having a song that does alright is enough to get called 'Summer Queen', songs need to dominate the Summer, like Sistar managed to do.

It's also not just '1 good summer song': Red Velvet had a phenomenal song with Red Flavor, and another good song with 'Power Up' that gave Red Velvet their PAK, 1 of the few times that SM artists had a PAK.

And if you want to include Alcohol Free, then we might as well include RV's Queendom since Queendom had a higher peak and better longevity than AF

Bottomline, there've been no groups so far that came close to how Sistar dominated Summer for a couple of years with their songs.

Actually, that isn't even that farfetched: practically all the songs that Blackpink released in Summer - Whistle, D4, AIIYL, HYLT, Pink Venom - they all did very well to outstanding on charts, better than some other 'Summer Queen nominee' groups did.

It's weird that this didn't have people, Koreans nor K-pop fans, have Blackpink call 'Summer Queens'. Maybe because their songs didn't have that bright, Summer-style kinda vibe?

Queendom wasn't a summer song. Power Up is the fastest fall for an idol song that I've ever seen.

Sistar were probably the only one with RV run being quite short. It went Sistar -> RV -> no one lol
