She isn't born an entertainer. She doesn't look comfortable in most if not all variety shows Izone on. She is quiet, rarely talks. Always stand on the side. Different when they did VLive when it's just the members (the one when they are alone in a room: Chaeyeon, Wonyoung, Yujin, and Hyewon). Idol-wise, she never got lines in their songs. The only memorable part is on Violeta. She never has a center position except for her 2 seconds line. People always say "No talent, no variety" to her. Why would she participated in Produce 48 or even 8D Creative?

She is stunning frankly. Maybe the best combination of face/body visuals in all of Kpop right now, at least among recognized groups.
Her most memorable part is her rap verse in Colors. So catchy, in fact the rest of the rap verses, hell the whole damn song is so catchy, it's one of the best B sides i've heard in Kpop.

To izone (and wizone) hyewon is a capable member. She is one of the overseers of the group. Idk her awkwardness makes her charming. She's also pretty intelligent. The rare times when she doesn't look like she's in deep thoughts and is being casual and smiley, are the moments wizone cherish the most from her. At first glance, a lot might not see what's so special about her but once you step within the circle that she surrounded herself with, she has a lot of likable qualities.

Maybe she has a chance at modelling but it takes more than just visuals for acting. She's hardly expressive on stage and she isn't a big name like Suzy or Yoona to excuse their poor acting early in their career.

Someone theorized the only reason her company sent her to Produce 48 was to show off the company's trainees visuals.
But being honest, most people would kill to be an idol, she probably saw it as something she should do and was given chance to do because of her visuals because most people would want that.

No, she can be funny on her own, just need opportunity and a bit of time to adapt.. If you watch her in MLT, she was really funny there.

It's hard to shine in a group of 12. But her visuals are pretty good and among the best, and I liked her rapping in the PD48 show, it had a soft flow to it.
But yeah, if some other PD48 candidates would've been in the group like Chowon and Kaeun (as they rightly should've been if not for Mnet's and those companies' corrupt, vile rigging), they would've slayed more and better than most of the current IZ*One members.
