1. That's a desperately naive take on the matter.
2. Some former classmates have in fact come to defend Soojin. So do we keep pretending they don't exist or are we acknowledging that sometimes there is more than meets the eye?
1. Of course I'm just over generalizing, but when you are 'clean', it would make it easier to disprove. Most recent example would be; Yunghyeong (ikon), Chu (Loona), Sohye (ioi), or even Soojin's bandmates Soyeon.
2. Again, Soojin's record wasn't that 'clean' and another well known celebrity got involved, so Soojin don't fall on the 'Not true' categories.
No, Soojin admitted to some part of the accusation, so she fell on 'unsure' category. More so since another public figure has came forward, and to make it worse she was the ambassador of anti bullying.
There are many celebrities accused of so many things in the past, majority of them can get away with it. When you lead a good life, you or your company don't have to come forward to prove your innocence, many people will gladly do it for you.
I don’t know but it must take time for the court to come to a ruling and with all these parties involved they will surely try to disagree if the ruling isn’t that much in their favor even if Soojin is innocent. The reaction to SSA showed that the damage control (basically trying to let it drag so long that people get enough from it) failed. It has been a long time since I saw a post gain so many upvotes and that that long into a controversy.
The worst part is that even if soojin might be revealed to innocent, no one will believe her due to cube’s paradox handling of the controversy and the bullying by the fans.
That's what I meant by 'handling it poorly'.
They should just go with the basic :
1. True = Meet with the victim(s), ask for forgiveness, announce will take a break and will come back as a better person, lay low while then 'accidentally caught' doing good deeds.
2. Absolutely not true = Convincingly denying it since if you were clean, something like this would be easy to disprove.
3. Unsure? = Go with the first options. If it was revealed that you were innocent, public will sympathize a lot and your career might reach a new height.
If Soojin leaves then Knetz will be happy and continue supporting the group. The only way Soojin could stay in (G)idle is when the lawsuit ends and and if she is found innocent and her the actress speak to each other and come to a resolution. If she's found guilty of everything Soojin has said she will leave herself.
Korean society is moving from one issue to another at very fast rate. Cube made a very bad mistake by dragging this problem for far too long. Majority of people already moved on from these mass "this celeb is a bully" issue to the "everything has to be historically accurate" issue.
So Soojin is unfortunately already been judged as guilty for majority of people. And even if Soojin is proven to be innocent in the next couple of days/weeks, it's already too late.
Under pressure to not say anything ≠ Actively promoting CCP's policy. High profile people only 'went missing' when they say something bad about CCP or their influence already too huge that it can threaten CCP position.
The likes of Jackson, Lay and Victoria already went beyond 'being pressured', they either believed what they are saying or actively trying to please CCP to gain more fame and money.
But in this particular case, I kind of understand why they have to do that (canceling the deal) because they would be the one who are going to get canceled, not just by CCP but also by the citizens if they didn't do so.
But she never said she was walking and heard her talking about her. Talking behind ones back can conclude to many things including hearing from someone else saying someone is talking behind your back. Best to see what Cube or Soojin says about this.
"The individual who spoke of me always mocked and cursed at me for 2 years with her 'group' on the way to school, during breaks in the hallways, in the cafeteria, everyday, everywhere, saying, 'She's not even pretty so how is she a celebrity?', 'Her fame is already a thing of the past', 'No wonder she's an outcast', 'I don't know why the teachers always treat her so specially', repeatedly harassing me verbally. Sure, it could just have been ignorant youth and jealousy, and they could have uttered those words without any second thought. But those words are still deeply ingrained in my heart as scars until today. The scars that accumulated back then have become a large bruise, and I eventually grew to fear people. Those fears then grew into trauma, changing me into an introvert and hindering my advancement into high school."
Talking loud enough for the "victim" to hear without talking directly to them can be considered as "talking behind my back".
"The individual says that they do not remember, and they never spoke with me, and this is true. It was entirely one-sided verbal harassment. The individual continues to deny that they ever said those words full of scorn behind my back, which I find unfortunate."
Ok these two statements confuse me, its very obvious who she is talking about, however it says talked behind her back (so that mean Soojin never talked to her up front, so somebody must have said this girl is talking about you behind your back but she has no proof to show just word of mouth. Then she says its true Soo jin never talked to her, so how does she know Soojin actually did (I mean maybe she did who knows). The person or persons who told her this could be jealous classmates of Soojin or even that former friend, again we dont know obviously we didnt go to school with them.
This doesnt actually prove Soojin did anything, so it's all confusing.
I think what SSA meant by that is they are talking loudly about SSA when SSA passed by.
Victim walk past..
Bully A : (talking loudly) Look at that ugly girl
Bully B : Yeah, she's so ugly that makes me wants to throw up..
Bully C : bla bla bla..
Kind of weird that SES who has over 3 million sales in Korea is not on the list. Congrats to all the ggs that make it here
Gaon started counting from 2010..
Maan, it doesn't hit me yet since they still posted tons of content and PM.
If this really the end, I hope they can gather together doing V-live for one last time.
Doing goodbye with full of smiles and gratitude.
Wait i thought they were having a final cb in March. Why didn't they do anything in 2021?
This is one of the reason why so many mess within the fandom lately, I mean not even a month early from the scheduled date (April 29). The members themselves seems to be surprised by the fact this concert will be the end..
And what worse is that there are still many unreleased content that are scheduled to be released after this, how am I going to watch those after this?
Talking about content, you guys better save all the uploaded content esp V-live.. they usually delete those after disbandment..
Still can't believe that this is the end.. still can't get myself to close the concert page because I would feel that this is really the end..
I think I would just left it there for a couple of days or at least after I'm ready to accept the reality..
Never In my life I love a group so much, nor I think that that would be possible...
Maybe because my life was at a rock bottom when I met them..
Some people might find it cheesy, but really, they had helped me in the process of trying to start my life again and has been accompanied me throughout the journey..
Thank you for everything IZ*ONE
I will always remember our beautiful journey for the past 2,5 years.
IZ*ONE and WIZ*ONE forever!
and now Hitomi made me cry a riverContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.
Just as I thought that I couldn't cry anymore.. Hii-chan who always quiet and rarely express herself hit me really hard.. then emotional train started again with Minju when she said that "I got used to be alone before, now I can't Imagine myself without the members", then Chaeyeon gave me a little break, and when Hyewon shouting Eunbi's name.. dead...
Hope today would be better because this might be the last time we see them together..
My eyes still sore from crying for hours yesterday..
She isn't born an entertainer. She doesn't look comfortable in most if not all variety shows Izone on. She is quiet, rarely talks. Always stand on the side. Different when they did VLive when it's just the members (the one when they are alone in a room: Chaeyeon, Wonyoung, Yujin, and Hyewon). Idol-wise, she never got lines in their songs. The only memorable part is on Violeta. She never has a center position except for her 2 seconds line. People always say "No talent, no variety" to her. Why would she participated in Produce 48 or even 8D Creative?
Doesn't matter to me if she isn't an entertainer, I like her anyway. She is my bias in Izone and one of my favorite female idols. I mean, how can you resist such beauty?
No, she can be funny on her own, just need opportunity and a bit of time to adapt.. If you watch her in MLT, she was really funny there.
The concert is about to begin by the way, don't miss it.
