imo Melon is becoming less relevant, as there are 1/2 the number of users compared to several years ago. Companies are just using their marketing budget elsewhere.

Both released boring songs. Red Velvet would obliterate the charts if they had released Beg For Me instead of Birthday. Same for Stayc picking better songs for bsides/j-releases.

It is way too early to judge StayC’s charting. BM was in the 90s and it rose to top 50. Rub2U was in the 50s but rose to 4. ASAP was out of top 100 but got to 8.

Stayc cmb has trend in Korea at all, their teaser didn't trend in yt, there were barely any post about their teaser pictures. It can have a decent debut I'd the gp don't care to begin with bc they jump ship

stayc still has time to rise but honestly teddy bear is not it. their music is going in a strange direction since beautiful monster. run2u was also a very divisive song, but it still had the charm that made stereotype and aspa blow up imo. they're delving too much into generic now while missing the catchy chorus part. like, beautiful monster and teddy bear chorus are very forgettable.

i feel sad bc i absolutely loved them since debut but they're kinda losing me since my other fav ggs lesserafim and newjeans have no misses for me so far.
