I think it's a matter they were top 1 once and the employees were fighthing to regain their status. Now, they will be known as Hybe label. It doesn't matter anymore whether they are top cause they will always be under Hybe. There is no sense of working hard and all their hard work before has just become meaningless. People say they should just quit and look for another job but sometimes, seeing all your years of hard work and what you were passionate about wasted it's a difficult pill to swallow. If Lsm had run the company like family, then the sense of betrayal is even stronger.

so why were both chris lee and LSM trying to get a bigger company to buy them out? i don't think sm was going to file bankruptcy or anything, but the higher ups in the company clearly saw something in their financials that meant they needed help. i couldn't see someone as prideful a LSM selling out anyway. but there's also the fact sm was trying to kick him out so... who knows.

there is such thing called expansion. And the buy out was just a power play to kick out lsm. Maybe they could not expand cause lsm was sucking the money dry internally and not investing back into the company.
