Jin got extra 1 day vacation with this team as a reward for winning a competition during lunar new year celebration. He taught them the dance.
Man is an assistant instructor at the front line army and will be doing more work than regular soldiers during his 2 yr enlistment.
No special treatment here.

If OP is an army imma eat my shoes. This is such a non issue, there have always been talent contests and performances in the SK military, and his whole team won day off not just Jin, at least put in the effort to include that info.

He won a 1 day vacation not got himself out of the military. Fun activities in Army , vacations, and contests are perfectly normal and probably happen a lot but not reported as news.
