Do you like high pitched vocals?

Very High is better than very low I can’t stand those voices that are significantly baritone instant turn off. But I just like mid tones. Screechy voices and random high notes are annoying af. Tho less annoying than growling baritones.

I don’t have a problem with either high pitched or low pitched voices, i just need them to sound pleasant, that’s all lol. There are cases of high pitched voices which i love or don’t dislike, and cases of low pitched voices that really grate on my nerves and ruin songs lol, and vice versa too of course

depends on the style of the song and the idol's singing ability but i usually like more chill songs

If it's not nasally, it's fine. Unfortunately, most high pitched voices are nasally by default.

My pet peeves are Momo’s and Rose’s high pitch + nasal vocals. When both sang normally, I have no problem with it.

This is one of the cringiest and corniest, and yet one of the cutest things i've ever seen in Kpop lol. But no matter how corny, the girls never make it seem forced, both the dance and the vocals sound and feel like Izone to me.

I mean… if it’s well-executed. I really hate the high-pitched, squeaky, cutesy style when it’s grown women singing.

But mostly, I just prefer range. Show me what you’ve got, high/mid/low. Give me variation, not just a cutesy high pitched top line.

i never got enough of it before i listened to Kpop and i feel like its a good way to showcase your presence in your group when you sing really high cause everyone is gonna notice it

colour > dynamic range (going from soft to powerful) > delivery > range > pitch itself

eg. someone like TOP whose vocal colour and delivery I really like, it makes up for his low voice and narrow range

edit: better example. vocal colour is so pretty and light, and the pitch and range aren't special. not oversinging with the simple guitar part. so I like the voice!

It does not bother me when it's well-executed and when it suits the song and the singer.
