K-pop has gotten so out-of-touch with their fans: fashion designer ambassadors, variety programs showing off them visiting exotic expensive vacations, overpriced albums, etc.

I think the music has gotten better since 2021 ngl. We have gotten a lot of bangers the last few years.
The KPOP landscape has changed since going global, and some people will like it. Others won't.

Called it…

Thanks for being a presumptuous tit. I still hold out for K-pop because there are some things in it that I am fond of. As I hold no allegiance to any artform, just to certain things within said artform that is good and worthwhile.

Do I need to pay for it with my mom's hard-earned money?

hmm I kinda agree overall but for luxury brands, I've seen not long ago that Koreans are part if not the biggest buyers of luxury brand items in the world so companies surely have that in mind, I think it's just theses days there's a lot of announcements and a lot of ig ads that kinda make it less exclusive
-
it has to do with how korea move too, korea loves the rich, watch them and want to be them
thats how that YouTuber jia got so popular in singles inferno, she was obv gorgeous but people lover her for her luxurious lifestyle and when they find out part of it was fake they linch her as she committed a crime. Trainees this days all come from rich families, u hardly even find someone from middle class, so they got the "Luxurius" aura already from birth

my faves are poor and flop, theres still salvation

It's one thing to be shilling for Supreme, but it's another thing to be a shill for Valentino. Valentino? Give me a break. You're just being a whore now, and fans, with no music to further embrace, are obligated to be enthused over this brand of whoring oneself. Seriously, get better heroes to look up to.
why be so vulgar, i don't personnally buy luxury and especially not because my favorite idols wear them, you had an interesting point but you're losing it

SK is obsessed with luxury brands. It's a huge flex for an idol to become an ambassador for Chanel or Gucci, etc. They're not going to stop. The only reason you didn't see all these luxury brand ambassadors in the early days is because K-pop wasn't widely known and idols weren't given the opportunity. Now that they have such fame and money, of course they're going to flaunt/enjoy it.
I'm actually not into all that flashy showy-off stuff either. But I can't complain about celebrities behaving like, you know, celebrities. It just is what it is. We peasants can eat cake.

That's all fine and dandy if they had the music to back up their branding (i.e., financial proclivities), otherwise I will not be a part of their dumb game.
