Back on topic - maybe people prefer Karina to Winter for some reason?

Guess it's different for everyone but I think Karina is the whole package as an idol really.

You watch their content and it's hard to dislike her. Her personality is well balanced, down to earth but with a measured crackhead energy. She's quite witty and funny and can be charming, but still polite. Seems like someone you could hang out with and just have fun.

She's an all round talent on stage without really any weaknesses. Above average in all measurable skills. She's got a vocal tone/colour that is different, easy to pick out and also somehow just really nice to listen to. It's something extra to it and I can't really explain it.

Visually I think you have to be a hater to deny she's amongst the best amongst all current gg idols, and her makeup, styling etc as a whole is also very on point.

I think where the biggest difference lies in that Winter is more introverted and less engaging to an extent.

most of the time it's because either hair style, makeup or the outfits that hindering Winter. Also during 4 music show appearances most of the the time winter was sick so she looks unwell and in results impacted the views for her fancams.

for example, during gayo daejun Winter has more views because she has better makeup and hairstyle

Karina is aespa identity and center/face of the group so it's natural that she's more known with the gp. Also last year aespa mostly sitting in the dungeon with minimal content and no solo schedule so the naver results was expected.

From what I observed, Karina has a bit more consistency while Winter has huge spikes here and there.

It also probably helps that Karina is insanely active in bbl (she makes sure to post daily and apologizes when she misses a day like- 💀) and engages with fans the most too (she’s been on an IGlive addiction lately since aespa started doing it a few weeks ago lol). There’s even a meme in MYville how the members (specifically Winter) appears more on Karina’s bbl than their own lmao

I said this in the other thread, but Karina is just an all around ace. Best rapper, best vocals, best dancer, and top visual in Aespa. In fact i would say she has some of the best vocals and visuals in all of Kpop. But it's her personality that has really shocked me now that she finally gets to go on lives and fanservice videos like Synk Road.

Without Karina, there would be no Aespa.

Isn't that Karina is the one who initially popular? And then Winter got in?

Well it just so happens that they are my two Aespa biases. Karina is of course my bias.

karina during bm era was more hated but no less popular than winter. next level was all about karina (even though each member was given the same opportunities in terms of styling and showcasing talent) savage is the only era karina lost her position but that's because winter got a bob that blew up in Japan. 4 months after their comeback, winter was already behind karina. for girls era karina got some singing lines and was trending because of her bangs higher than aespa. she keeps her dance-vocal-rap buzz in combination with her visuals, some personality moments and then viral moments. no matter what the other members do, karina will end up on top anyway because she has that star factor that the others lack. the funniest thing is that she's not trying at all and she's certainly not the main focus of the company.

Weird cuz I always thought Karina was the most popular one since Day 1
