I think they do well regardless. If the song is good, popularity will skyrocket. If they release another O.O they can still have a lot of fans and sell bunch of albums like NMIXX

YG's music is generally good. If Teddy is producing their music, they will be very successful.

Yep, this is the right answer. YGNGG will have ready-made group of fans that will make them at worst relevant or at best the next global girl group. We don't even know any of the members or concept yet, so I think it is worthless to speculate on their success level rn as there are way too many unknown factors.

I heavily lean to this perspective but nothing is guaranteed. The song they debut with could be awful or could be like Attention or Boombayah and be a vibe. We just don't know.

OK music: still do well (for a big 4 group) but not smash

NewJeans will probably take the Korean crown (they are custom made for the Korean market), but YG has a good shot at global 4th gen group.

Oh yeah 100% which is ironic considering New Jeans probably has more English speakers than this next group but we shall see.

Of course they're gonna smash. The BP legacy will carry them hard. The better question is their longetivity after a year or so.

They'll smash. YG is still probably the most anticipated company in Korea when it comes to music. BP is still the biggest GG and many of their fans will check out their sister group.

nmixx flopped because their singles are unlistenable. As long as ygngg releases a catchy bop, gp will be tuned in, and say what you want about that miserable misogynistic company, they really know how to make successful ggs.

I dont think they’ll do as good as bp when they debuted but they’ll still pull really good numbers. Like itzy-ive debut numbers.
