What Song Lyric Do You Sing With Your Whole Chest?
-

What lyric makes you sing with your whole chest, practically screaming the words?
for me, probably "You see my hope was all but gone"
and the start of the chorus of The Chaser by INFINITE
if im being honest
any song that has a high note, i will sing with every bit of oxygen in my body ( i can actually hit high notes im a soprano 1 in my choir and i execute the notes correctly without damaging my vocals)

Ooh, you're a Soprano 1 in choir? Nice! I was for my 5th-6th grade and 8th-10th grade choir. Other years, I was a Soprano 2. I'm the same way, the high notes have been easy for me but they take a lot of energy and breath support for sure.
I've never been an alto because it's simply not in my range. I can sing the notes but it's not something I'm confident or comfortable in and I do struggle with those really low notes.
Soprano 1 is nice because you know you're the one singing the top notes. I remember when I was in junior high the second sopranos weren't necessarily bad it's just that they would often sing parts they weren't supposed to like either the Alto or Soprano 1 part.

Awesome! To be fair and truthful i think 2nd Sopranos have really beautiful parts to sing, you guys make something sound so beautiful
I have a teandancy to imeaditely hiot high notes, my anxiety gets to me if im singing a low note and its like, "no sing high" cause i want my voice to be heard and alto isnr my range either, i can pull of any high note with ease
( i do love to sing lower notes in songs, but when it comes to choir, i know what i must do ...that being tearing everyones eardrums to shreds )

Thank you! I agree. If altos are the bottom sandwich slice, and soprano 1s are the top, Soprano 2s are everything that's in between. Yep, that's something you're trained to do or you train yourself to do as a Sop1. You uave to hit the really high notes or you're not a Soprano 1. But you also have to figure out how to do it without straining your voice There's a lot of breath support required!!
LOL I totally get that...like I still have my range but I'll try to sing low notes whem I'm just singing songs. Sometimes it doesn't go so well 😂
-
But we were born to be alone!! Yeah we were born to be alone! Yeah, we were born to be alooone but why we still looking for love?

I can sing very loud with a high note while also making it sound nice and clean so i think I've got breath support down
I couldn't have described it better myself
there are certain high notes that are tricky to pull off and if im not 100% confident then ill be scared to sing it

You're just bragging atp
But that's really good! Anyone with the range is capable of doing it, it's just more difficult for some. I've been in choir for 5 years straight and I can safely say that you can damage your voice pretty good without good breath support or straining of the notes.
And yep, there are some notes that are REALLY high. The Soprano 1 section, apart from Alto 2s, is probably usually the smallest section, or at least, the ones I've been in. It usually is like 8-12 people and the majority are Sop2s lol. No surprise there...there's a lot of mid range voices. Baritones (basically the male version of Sop2s) are a huge section too.

the last thing i wanna do is damage my voice
yea, theres alot of altos in my choir im in lol
the big truth is, no matter what notes we can sing, we all sound beautiful when we come together and sing together as a group

Same...I think Adele (?) had to take a long hiatus because she fried her vocal cords or something (I don't know much about so please correct me if I'm wrong). I would not want that happening to anyone tbh. Sounds painful...
Lol yeah Alto 1s and Soprano 2s are typically the biggest sections in treble choirs.
Aww, I love that! That's why I adore choir. I love the sounds that we make when we join our voices together. That's why I stay 🥺

Yeah it was Adele
shes so amazing and i love her songs
i wonder what she had to do to heal
I stay cause i love to sing, and i've always had a good music teacher that makes me love music even more
and my one teacher told me to never stop singing, so i will never stop singing

Aww I love her too. Her songs were some of my favorites growing up. Me too...I would do more research but I'm downright too lazy LMAOOO
Same here! My teachers played a big part in motivating me to stay. I remember last year, I actually thought about taking a year break from choir to make room in my schedule but my teacher, with his stories, made me keep going. And I love to sing, ofc.
Aww, that's so sweet!!
