Changed the title of the thread from “Why ifans care so much about what koreans like when the call us roachs?” to “Why ifans care so much about what koreans like when they dont like us and call us i-roachs?”. -
Because a group's longevity is dependent on how well they sell. If a group doesn't have a large, enthusiastic (financially) international fanbase -- which is hit or miss for a lot of groups -- then they need at least a stable Korean fanbase that will show up ($$) for them.
Look at BVNDIT who just disbanded, despite being relatively well-liked around these forums. But their sales were crap; being liked by i-fans didn't translate into actual sales.

Mmm. I doubt Kpoopies think about the survive of a group when they brag about a high positions in charts.
About Bandid. Lol, you mean this forum? We barely are 1000 people in total. Thats nothing.

just as much as some k-fans care what some i-fans think
there will always be those people that will criticise another's opinion regardless of whether they are K or I or whatever letter of the alphabet and remember always that
the silent majority often gets drowned out by the vocal minority

Korean opinions matter cause Kpop groups are from....
drum roll......
Korea.

Taylor Swift dont care how she does in Albania, she cares about the Hot 100, just like how Korean artists care about Melon.
Im talking about the fans. TBH, i dont understand the obsession. In my case for example. Sneakers and Pop reach the top ten and that means very little to me. And knowing what Kfans think about ifans, i care even less.

Idk too why some ifans act as if charting in one country is better than charting in multiple countries. Like they'll praise kpop acts that charted on melon but can't be found topping international charts acting as if they're the big thing but calling some acts nugus because they can't chart on melon 100 though they charted on different music platforms in many countries.

This. It's the most relevant market for Kpop, and always will be.
Also, i-fans aren't a monolith and kpop is very niche everywhere except for parts of parts of Asia where it is a little less niche.
-
because most groups need that footing in sk to grow outside their country.

A Kpop groups first priority is their home country's charts. Without doing recently they might as well disband after a couple flop releases like hundreds and hundreds (maybe thousands?) of idols have over the years

can't we just enjoy the music? calling i-fans; i-roaches is so derogatory
-
because korean people knows them all 😌
