Is it unprofessional for chart accounts to engage in fanwars?

Why are you treating them as more or somehow different just because they post about charts?

They are not professionals or a company or official or anything like that. They are fans/fanbases.

So it's as "unprofessional" as any Twitter account engaging in a fanwar.

What triggered it?

That twice acc is so annoying that’s not the first time.

And no, It's not unprofessional, they are not being paid for it, It's just for fun from fan to fan. But It's cringe.

I agree with this. If you want to be taken seriously do that. Otherwise, people might become skeptical that you’re manipulating numbers just to win a fan war or prove a point, not to be accurate.
