2020 has been a rough year for Day6, especially Jae and Sungjin and I hope they have some time to rest well that year. We'll be patiently waiting for them 
Yeah... the part about how idols have to act perfect really makes you think about how stressful things must be on the daily for them. I hope the recent wave of idols talking about their struggles with mental health won't be just a trend, because it's nothing to be ashamed of 
I don't know what it is but there seems to be a lot of issues going on at JYPE.
I'm not saying other companies don't have it as well but JPYE:
1. two members of twice have now had hiatuses and Jihyo had anxiety issues as well
2. twice are known to be overworked.
3. we all know GOT7's mistreatment issues
4. we all know the shit that went on with Jae and JYPE last year.
5. we all know that artists rarely resigns with JYPE following their contract.
but JYPE does have an organic cafeteria so

I'm very glad that they are able to speak about it.
People are quick to point fingers at JYPE, but the truth is that any idols - scratch that - anyone can have mental health issues. There is nothing to be ashamed of, but it needs to be talked about, and taken seriously.
I really hope everything goes well for them, they deserve it

I am really hoping all the best for Jae, he's amazing and talking about mental health isn't easy for anybody, let alone idols + he speaks out about some problems of this industry:"We are kind of stuck in a place where we're not really supposed to have an opinion, but then have an opinion at the same time, seem human but inhuman, almost like godly figures"
"I realized if we're supposed to be role models, what kind are we if we're only personifying perfect people? Why keep feeding kids [through] this tube of dishonesty that eventually affects them negatively, especially mentally?"
“It's great to strive for greatness, but the actuality and the sad truth is you're never going to be perfect,” Jae says. “I accept that, and if I'm really your role model, then maybe you can accept that with me.”
It's not just JYP's problem, not only their idols have those kind of thoughts, they are the only ones speaking about it. (of course JYPE is problematic, but so are other entertainment companies)
Edit: actually, to think about it, i think one of the biggest problems JYPE has is that they still kinda let their idols think and have their own minds and speak out and take a break if they need it - so because of that we now about their struggles, but other companies restrict even that. JYPE is still shit tho for all the mistreatment :D
damn he's being so honest about it.
I hope he's doing okay or atleast better that before.
