That's what everyone keeps saying but how can know for sure if that video has ads?

NEW JEANS isn't the Nation's Girl Group.
I'm not aware that Korean media has referred to any group as the Nation's Girl Group since TWICE. It's not a title that groups get by being prominent or successful. It's a specific title of endearment that is bestowed on groups fitting a certain kind of quality and affection by the Korean public.
To my knowledge there hasn't been a group that fits that particular set of qualities of the new groups, though they have been successful.

I don't think they have ads, but they probably bought views.
On day 3 they lost about 8 million views out of the blue.
Eventually YouTube gave them back, but if you look at the breakdown of where people are watching, it looks very shady.
But hey, my 4th gen faves got 20 million views, even if their company paid for them.

Youtube isn't exactly the best when comparing popularity.
So many kpop groups got better views than some known western artists. Does that mean the kpop groups are more popular? NOPE, not even close.

I have been using it wrong for ages
I thought it meant New or Next like when people type ygngg I assumed they meant YG's new girl group
Now I am second guessing dozens of comments I made in the past where nobody responded
