anyways yeah i totally agree with you! Music is actually quite a private thing, and if i have to be completely honest, it’s a little embarrassing to share things about your music that isn’t the norm.

Though, i have and i’m sorry to say, if someone is listening to say..something...unsavoury (i’ll list some songs below), i will think that they are weird. Like genuinely they love and believe in these songs. And i apologise in advance.

I guess from a certain point of view, some music is regarded more highly than others. There is a reason people are pissed at the Grammys for nominating Yummy and not Blinding Lights.

But when it comes to personal tastes, life is too short to worry about what other people will think about your musical taste. Listen to what you want, and if people judge you for it - or for the kind of movie that you enjoy, or for the kind of book that you read - then it says more about them than about you.

I disagree. Example: People can have bad taste in fashion and how one dresses oneself is a personal choice.

Plus in music where there's lyrics and/or gestures involved, "poor taste" is phrase which can be used.

Now, if we're just talking about instrumentals: I guess OP's argument would stand. Unless the instrumentals included the sound of farting or the screams of a person being murdered or assaulted.
