they should fire whoever is in charge of finding songs for kepler...its actually tragic, its like they go and find the most obnoxious generic songs possible.
A song like kep1er Up! can be released by any girlgroup

Agreed. I think the closest thing I've heard was Lightsum's Vivace. But they flip-flopped to a different sound again with their last comeback. That's also another group facing an identity crisis. I guess Cube never learned from CLC.
Also I don't think this song will EVER leave my playlist lol

I like Up more because it doesn't give me whiplash like Wadada.
They still maintain planet esthetic tho but I think they really don't know what to do with it, how to incorporate it to their sound/music.
I'm not familiar with Izone, but Izone esthetic is easy to work with.
Honestly I'm not really a fan of both groups. I think I'm more interested how they will be in the future when their contract end.
I never thought I'lI know almost all Izone members now (well mainly it's because BlackpinkHouse always brought it up)

Unpopular opinion here, but I feel like Izone is only special for those who watched Produce back then. How can one make sense of so many members? It doesn't help that they all wear the same kind of uniform like clothing in the MVs. Who's main vocals, lead vocals, rapper? I have no idea.
At least with Kep1er, based off WA DA DA alone I was able to notice a few members because of their specific talent that were actually showcased in the song.
But maybe that's just me.
Well, it's funny because this is my opposite 😄😄
As someone who didn't follow any pd series or gp999, I think kep1er is special only for those who follow gp999. For izone, I could tell which member was in charge of vocal things, the rapper, center and dancer based on their mv alone.
For kep1er, idk, the one that stood out is hikaru as she is the one that rap.

Kep1er just suffer from their subpar producers. I got a hint from QD2 already because I didn't like any of their rearrangements so it wasn't really surprising we got Up!
It's sad to see how much potentials have been wasted and the girls were much more appealing in gp999 than after they debut imo. I hope their company don't take it on the girls though because it's not their faults but the producers.

It does. Star power attracts fans. But i also agree that some idols can gain more appeal with right concept and styling.
star power is weird thing, in izone I wouldn't even care one bit about that Chaewon girl, but damn in lsm she looks like whole different person, the charisma, the attitude, the look
same with Wonyoung, I liked her in IVE not in Izone
for me it's sth that also based on styling, concept, music and marketing
obviously generic songs, generic concept, generic styling will make any group look generic. It's sad that whoever in charge not putting effort. Also if anything I would say they lack visuals compared to other 4th gen ggs.

Same with Wadada. Their songs are just pretty generic.

I guess it really does boil down to preferences. In izone for me some girls always stood out like minju, sakura, yujin, wonyoung, haewon. Even chaewon started to get more popular in izone with time. But I used to be quite into izone music and pay more attention to them so that could also be a reason.
Kep1er is really lacking in concept and music. Like they need a signature sound and look that'll make them standout. But I guess they are a cash grab group so they'll earn anyways and their management won't care. Visuals to some extent I agree they aren't the strongest. Not anything bad but nothing great except xiaoting.

Agree, its pretty basic
