Not gonna lie, it took me 3 good listens to like Sneakers lmao. If you look at that Bop or Flop thread, I was acting real bipolar.

And I did not like the first snippet I heard of it, but then Ryujin and Yeji said "Done, Done" and I was like...

But forreal, I would like to say I knew "Sneakers" would blow up, but to be honest, I always think ITZY will do well. Even when they don't lmao. Only times I ever truly doubted was Not Shy and ICY.

It's interesting since ITZY was the first big 4th gen GG to debut (unless you count IDLE), they have been pitted against just about every 4th gen GG that has existed. According to AKP, STAYC ended them, AESPA ended them, Kep1er was close, they were going to be shafted because NMIXX debuted, IVE ended them, LSFM ended them, IDLE ended them, and with Sneakers underperforming and NewJeans debuting, they weren't even in the conversation of being a top GG anymore.

It's so funny how people switch up. Now, they are using ITZY to try to antagonize MYs.

The song really is so catchy and cute. I think alot of the hate came from the other glamorous concept photos that are so unlike the real concept (they have glam with the MV but it's with a clear casual spin) that even alot of Midzys were annoyed or atleast confused, and that division amongst fans was an open door for other fandoms/antis to jump in and run their mouths.

As a truly midzy, i liked Sneakers from the start But i still thinking it was a mistake those first teasers Those just didnt matched with Sneakers, at all. Dont help either the posters and tiktoks made with 5 bucks that come later.
