  • get caught doing weed and on probation for it, do an even harder drug in the meantime lmao

Also seungri has roughly the same sentence as her which is laughable

  • yikes lmao

is this is her first time getting sentenced btw? i know she's been on probation a couple of times before, but idk if she actually went to jail

  • Honestly she had many chances to get her act straight.

Her sentence is not just for doing drugs, she also tried to deal and sell.

  • I dont think that user is saying that they hate Korea so this "their country their rules" stuff is kinda corny. I think they just mean that she needs real help. When she leaves prison she will definitely do drugs again

i didn't think they mean that, that they hate korea. kb801 said that nobody should go to jail doing drugs and i said that korea disagrees. that's all

  • i'm sorry but this is a silly take. if being gay were a crime in sk and the penalty was death, would you still say the same thing?

    i'm not saying i agree.

i don't know why are you comparing those things. being gay is who you are, you were born like that, it's not a choice. doing drugs is. korea sees it that way and is punishing everyone who makes that choice

again, i'm not saying i agree with that but everyone in korea is aware of the consequences of that choice.

  • Do people still stan her for being a "boss bitch" or whatever it was?

  • no one should be jailed for drug use.

For weed I agree, and most Koreans' opinions have loosened on weed.

But she's been arrested multiple times for dealing and doing much harder drugs. She also failed drug tests on probation.

Also YG's lawyers caught her in lies under oath and got her to admit to making false statements to police, which is why YG is going to win his case. She also admitted to trying to blackmail YG. She's also had several outbursts in court, threatened judges and had to be reprimanded.

In addition to being a proven liar she's just an all-around awful human being.

There are some things that she's said, did and believes that most Kpop fans are not aware of for the most part that are absolutely appalling.

(i want to preface this post by saying that i am fully supportive of gay rights.)

one could make the argument that being gay isn't a choice but engaging in same-sex relations is a choice. so if they were to criminalize sex between two members of the same sex instead of criminalizing just being attracted to the same sex, would you still be okay with that? their country, their rules and all that.

  • i know she's done other illegal stuff and if they want to send her to jail for that, that's fine. but failing a drug test during probation, even if it's something harder than weed, should never be a reason for someone to be sent to prison imo. personally i think all drugs should be legalized but i know that's kind of an extreme position so i think at the very least they should be decriminalized and users offered the option of rehabilitation.

you really aren't dropping comparing drug users to lgbtq+ people

  • you really aren't dropping comparing drug users to lgbtq+ people

for the sake of argument, yes. there are still many places in the world today where being part of the lgbtq+ community and using drugs are both seen as degenerate behavior. do those countries have the same right to jail and even execute lgbtq+ people that south korea has to jail drug users?

in korea it isn't. if this was about lgbtq+ people being jailed i'd ofc be furious and say that nobody deserves to be in jail by being born a certain way but this is about drugs. dealing drugs is punishable by law, my friend is sentenced to 3 years in prison for dealing marihuana (i'm from southeastern europe). he knew that was a possibility and he did it anyway. korea went even further, they are punishing users too. she also knew that was a possibility and she did it anyway.

and stop comparing lgbtq+ people with drug users, i'm begging you

I mean she tried to deal/sell them too

to me dealing drugs is much bigger problem than just using them

Its crazy that sk law punishes doing drugs worse than dealing them

but in my example people aren't being jailed for their sexuality but for acting on their sexuality i.e. they are choosing to engage in sexual relations with someone of the same sex when they could instead choose to remain celibate. if it's an act punishable by law and someone gets arrested for engaging in that act, couldn't one just as easily say that they knew the risks and have no one to blame but themselves?

my whole argument is that just because something is illegal doesn't mean that it's immoral, that not all laws are reasonable or just, and that defending the imprisonment of drug users for no other reason that it's against the law is incredibly dumb.

  • She’s a shitty person but why YG still hasn’t been sentenced he’s a menace

Because he hasnt been charged with anything b/c he hasn't done anything wrong.

The only thing that's pending is her claim that he intimidated her into changing her statement about B.I which like I said, YG is going to win.

  • Why not? If drug use and selling is legal it would lower the chance of children getting it from dealers. Cartels would lose power, and besides alcohol is just as bad and its legal.

there is no limit to legalization! if something so addictive is legal people are bound to fall into it! buying from dealers must be hard so everyone will give it a second thought instead of just buying it like gums!

  • people who want to get high are already doing it. this thinking is dangerous because dealers are unregulated sellers, they can give people drugs that are mixed with harder and more lethal substances leading to death. legalizing drugs would allow the government to regulate purity of drugs and give addicts safety in knowing what they are consuming, plus allow them to seek help without fear. no one is going to buy drugs like gum, that's just doomsday talk

I'm from a third world country so i don't have anything to argue with you here! we have bigger problems here and i have only seen the drug dealing stuff on tv oonly!

but i still believe if all kind of drugs are legal people will fall into the trap more often! I'm in health care job so i know how much they struggle to get prescription of addictive drugs
