Why's YGE expecting over 300K physical sales from Rosie's EP?!

jennie's was moreof a photobook and it was released at a time where blinks were 10x smaller than they are

probably telling her cfanbase to work harder or her solo wont be seeing the light of day

They just sold like 1,3M albums last year and they are 4 members, I think it's pretty doable actually.

Yeah I was kidding but in all seriousness it's just a blanket statement and not too farfetched. Hylt single got to 300k and we didn't it will have a physical release. Plus this is rosè's debut and a huge moment for blinks. The blink community has grown a lot. The reddit community has grown by three times in just the second half of 2020.A lot of new people joined the fandom.

where did you read their statement? I imagine rose's chinese fanbase alone will purchase a shitton of albums, would explain why they bought considerably less than all other members for the album

It's their first solo album after like 2 years when Jennie dropped Solo and blinks barely get album releases. It honestly would surprise me if it doesn't reach at least 400k. On Gaon I mean.

I think a couple folks already mentioned the key factor: Rose C fanbar. I remember reading they contributed over 100k for The Album, YG probably already talked with them to find out how much the fanbar might contribute for Rose's solo.

150K from C fanbar + 75k from Korea (this is Jennie's GAON number for Solo as of July 2020 according to Wiki) + 8k from Japan + 7k from Australia/NZ + 30k from US/Canada is already 270K. She can get the rest from Europe/Mexico/Latin America/SEA.

I mean that’s not hard to believe or accomplish for blinks. Honestly I can see he doing more. 350k+

I think she can do it. Her china bar fansites are collecting quite an amount and even the international fans have collected quite a fair bit of fund as well.

The bp members have tons of support, I'm not worried about how well it will do monetarily. I'm just super excited for her ep 🥰🥰

Correct. Hanteo is basically a subset of Gaon sales, so I prefer to just go with the Gaon number, since it's more inclusive.

But getting back to the original topic, 300000 actually seems low to me.

This is actually quiet big. Blink fandom have always been known full of akgaes. We don't know if they will support Rose too., worse comes to worst, only Rose stans would buy albums

In 2018 Jennie sold her limited photobook with a song of around + 80k physical copies ...

Now in 2021 with all the growth of Blackpink in girl, Japan and Korea which are the ones that buy the most physical albums I would say that she would sell around 200k breaking 250k would not be strange either.

I would say that if the members released their solos now it would be something like this:

Jennie and Lisa: around 250k and 300k

Rose and jisoo: around 150k and 200k

Sure personally I think they could all break the 250k but I'm taking into account that jennie and lisa are the most popular members in Japan and lisa in china and jennie in korea.

Korea, Japan and China the countries where fans buy the most physical copies.
