the point is that all idols are "fake" by some degree, heck all normal persons act fake depends of their environment, every person act different with their family, with their friends and at work, let alone in front of camera with thousands of randoms online watching every second of you, heck lots of people act different online than they do in real life, like most of them

there is nothing to discuss when is pretty normal for everybody, we don't know the real person behind their image and that goes for everybody in industry not only WY, what we see is short videos filmed in front of lots of staff and carefully edited

Kakao isn't a entertainment company, if Hybe want to rival Kakao, they are getting into the wrong industry, Kakao is a telecommunication company with various subsidiaries, one of them is a entertainment company but thats not anything close to the biggest or money maker for Kakao

Hybe is mainly focused on entertainment, mainly on idol groups, even SM is more diverse overall.

Maybe they want to rival Kakao in revenue, profit, market cap etc, which everybody want lets be real but until they start heavity invest in different industries, they aren't trying to rival Kakao.

IVE was live tho, some parts had higher backup but you can still hear the live vocals (i'm speaking about Love Dive performance)

the concept don't suit her or rather than not suiting her, it doesn't play to her strengths

big 3 is now big 4 and NewJeans is a big 4 group, they aren't coming from some small company, Hybe has lots of company stans too so the girls come swinging with lots of stans the moment they were announced

yes, i know a bit about the group but the difference is that they seam to spend more moderately compared with Loona, like 12 solo MVs with albums and EP sub units, some MVs were filmed outside the country, all before debut, i guess they learned a bit from loona deal, hopefully the triples girls have a better contract

does TripleS even have such a big budget, they only have 1 MV released so far which while looks good and was well made, i don't see any big budget, it was mostly filmed on the street, inside a elevator and 1 single stage (it cost less to film on street than build in a studio)

From what I understood, that's how agencies work: they share the profit with the group. But the group has to pay for the production costs and everything because in a way, the agency works for them. So idols have to pay them. Which means that at end of the day, idols can remain unpaid (if there's no money left) but obviously the agency staff will get their salaries. The rent will be paid. The taxes will be paid. Everything and everyone will get paid before them; only then the group shares what's left. And not even everything that's left: the agency has a share for themselves, which allow them to build other projects, make investments, etc.

As I said, I could be wrong about it but that's how I understood and that explains why so many nugu/low tier (and even mid tier) idols see their career end with basically no money in their pocket.

They are idols unpaid because they don't make profit, companies don't share revenue, only profit, profit is made after paying the cost so yes the expenses are paid for the company, if the group make profit, they make money, in Loona's case even if the group makes profit, they are getting more debt

I guess we will see with the next lawsuits from the other girls how legal thid is.

i never heard of it, even that famous SM slave contracts there was nothing about idols paying costs, the reason why companies take a huge amount of profit and is legal is because they pay the costs

This kind of contracts would make quite easy to get sued, Chuu sued and she won, we would hear a lot more lawsuits if the contracts are anything close to this and i never heard anything about this until now

the idols contracts is made of a porcentaje of profit so if the group makes profit after paying the trainee debt, they take their share out of profit and MAKE MONEY, Loona's contract is made in a way that even if for example they paid their trainee debt and the comeback is a success, they are still in debt unless they make 60% profit over their cost and even there they make like 0.001% of their revenue

edit: i forget to say but i don't see how is legal to make the idols pay for the expenses CHOSE by a company, i don't see how this even legal, the companies can inflate expenses to keep idols always in debt

the contract is insane, i never heard of idols having to split the cost, the reasons why contracts are so in favor of companies (7:3 split) is because companies shoulder the costs entirely, otherwise make no sense to take 70% of revenue, if they wanted to split the cost, they should split the revenue similar way

basically even if the comebacks makes a profit the girls get even more debt, is a vicious circle where the company control the costs, they could legit inflate the costs to keep them in debt forever

lets say the comebacks cost 200.000 usd and the revenue is 250.000 usd, which means they make a 50.000 usd profit

the company gets 175.000 usd revenue and have to pay 100.000 usd = 75.000 profit

the girls gets 75.000 usd revenue and have to pay 100.000 usd = a debt of -25.000 which is a bit insane

this has nothing to do with ggs and bgs, source and ador are new companies with one single act, they started with loss like all the other companies, the groups are new so they didn't had time to cover the loss, lets see in 1/2 years from now on when the groups aren't brand new

from somebody which disliked the original, this is quite enjoyable, the modern take sounds better and the sound editing is much better, i vote bop

it will be crazy if this comeback isn't boycotted by the fandom because not only the girls don't receive any cent and the girls sued BBC and are forced by the company to do the comeback but the money goes to BBC's pocked which will likely be used against the girls in the court

I already assume that a big amount are coworkers because is hard to believe that you can randomly become best friends with 5+ people which you had no business in the best case or was competing with in the worst case, is even worst that they are forced to live together where they can't escape each other

Yes, there is likely friendship in the groups too but there is likely coworkers too, the bigger the group, the harder is to believe everybody are best friends, if they treat each other with respect, i don't care if they are besties, regular friends or coworkers.
