I don't think so, the market is oversaturated with K-pop, the genre is already on the decline. Why go to a concert when you can record a TikTok and post it online? The same IVE sold the bulk of tickets in Korea and Japan. As a bonus, more and more groups are giving concerts, it is no longer becoming something rare.

The baseball player mentions his fans multiple times in his apology and he is not accused of hiding behind his fans but suga who did not, is, tell me why?
Not to mention...
Suga also admitted his guilt
His recollection of the accident was backed by appropriate CCTV footage. Giving "more detailed" information such as the type of restaurant and the time he arrived/left is more suited to the police.
And yet, thede are two public statements
Suga mentioned the accident in sufficient detail, mentioned his ignorance, acknowledged his guilt and told the public about the repercussions of his "inexcusable" actions, gave an apology to everyone involved and finally, promised to be more mindful in order to not make the same mistake in the future.
Rather than a lack of maturity, his apology was just more concise. If you had wanted him to ramble you should just say so.
How can you not know the general laws in your home country? This already speaks of his immaturity, the man was not even interested in such things, although it is obvious that he has been using a vehicle for more than a day.
P.s. the baseball player answers himself and his apologies were detailed, while Suga, even after 2 weeks, says nothing and hides behind the backs of fans who attack everyone, standing up for him and inventing more and more nonsense mitigating his offense.
-
What's more mature about it
I'm curious
He is ready to resign, based on his actions (readiness, not resignation), he described the day of the incident in full, he apologized not only to the person who suffered, but also to everyone else who was ultimately involved, he also talks about the investigation, fully admits guilt. Meanwhile, Suga began to justify himself by ignorance of the law, figuratively told why he was detained, forgetting to mention the fall on which he was caught, said about paying a fine and deprivation of rights (the police denied this) and now he is simply hiding behind the backs of fans who protect him. This is the difference between a mature man and a child.

[instiz] SUGA VS JANG WON-SAM'S POST-DUI APOLOGY
Context: The production team of "Strongest Baseball" announced on the 19th, "We inform you that [former baseball player] Jang Won-sam, who is appearing in "Strongest Baseball," has been dropped from the program due to the recent [DUI]." Jang Won-sam, a former baseball player who caused a collision by driving under the influence of alcohol on the 17th.
Suga's apology
Hello, I'm Suga.
I feel very heavy and sorry to come to you with disappointment.
After drinking at the dinner table last night, I got home on an electric kickboard. He violated the road
traffic laws without realizing that he could not use an electric kickboard when he was drunk due to the
comfortable idea of being close to him. In the process of setting up an electric kickboard at the
front door of the house, I fell alone, and there was a police officer around me, so I took a breath test and found that my license was revoked and a fine was imposed. There were no people or facilities damaged in this process, but I would like to bow down and apologize to everyone because it is my inexcusable responsibility.
I apologize to everyone who has been hurt by my careless and wrong behavior, and I will be more careful with my actions so that this does not happen in the future.Hello,
This is Jang Won-sam.
First of all, I sincerely bow my head and apologize for delivering bad news.
As reported, it is true that I was involved in a DUI minor collision.
There are no excuses.
I sincerely apologize for disappointing you.
I deeply regret causing harm to the person involved in the accident yesterday, their family, acquaintances, fans, the broadcasting staff I’m currently working with, the director, the players, fans, sponsors, and advertisers. I am truly sorry for causing concern and trouble with my personal mistake.
I intended to apologize quickly due to my own faults and regrets for disappointing so many people, but having only focused on sports my whole life, I didn’t know how to handle this alone.
To be honest, I was also very scared.
Even though I intended to take responsibility and apologize, I was concerned that simply saying "I’m sorry" would seem irresponsible. I wanted to properly address everything, which is why I couldn’t apologize right away. I’m sorry for that as well.
Many people, through media reports and personal social media, have wondered exactly what happened. I will tell you honestly without hiding anything.
On the day before the accident, August 16, after meeting with acquaintances in Changwon, we started a late drinking session. As usual, I didn’t drive since I knew I would be drinking.
In Changwon, we first met at a meat restaurant, then moved to a soup restaurant. Before taking a taxi for the third round, I had one more beer with an acquaintance at a convenience store. I arrived home by taxi at 3:37 AM. All the details can be verified through payment records, and I am willing to share them if requested.
On the day of the accident, I had a meeting in Busan, so I left home around noon with my car. That’s when the collision happened.
Although I did not drink on the day of the accident, if there was still alcohol in my system, I should have called a taxi, asked someone to accompany me, or used public transportation. However, thinking that it would be fine since I had slept enough after drinking the night before, I made the careless decision to drive, which led to the accident. After the collision, I was stopped by passing police officers, who conducted a breathalyzer test, which concluded that I was driving under the influence of alcohol from the previous night.
I deeply regret my careless thoughts and actions, and I sincerely apologize to the person involved in the accident. I also apologize again to the fans, the broadcasting staff, the director, the players, the sponsors, and the advertisers for disappointing and inconveniencing them.
From my time as a player until now, with Hyundai, Heroes, Samsung, LG, Lotte, and even my current involvement with *The Strongest Baseball,* I have been able to endure difficult times thanks to the support of so many people.
I sincerely apologize for causing harm and disappointment to everyone due to my mistake. I am also deeply disappointed in myself.
Even after my retirement, I continued to receive much interest and love, thanks to the help of all the members and fans of *The Strongest Baseball.* Once again, I sincerely bow my head and apologize.
I believe the right thing to do is to take responsibility and voluntarily step down. However, I also think it would be wrong to unilaterally announce my resignation without proper communication, so I will personally meet with the PD and the director to explain the situation and apologize, and I will take appropriate responsibility.
I have many fond memories not only as a player but also as Jang Won-sam. I am grateful, and I feel even more sorry because I should have continued to bring joy to everyone with more activities. I sincerely bow my head and apologize for disappointing you.
There will be a police investigation next week. I will fully admit my mistakes and reflect on them without any falsehoods. I am truly sorry.
I am just sorry. Sincerely.original post: here
1. Ah wait he was driving when he was hangover ㅜㅜ I feel bad for the latter apology because I can understand his situation, his attitude is totally different
2. This is way too comparable...
3. At least the one at the bottom had some shame, but DUI is bad either case
4. Jang Won-sam’s apology letter is devoid of unnecessary details. It's a situation where a person could make excuses, but he doesn't make excuses
5. Suga's apology wasn't an apology, rather a way to mitigate the public's reaction
6. I'm not advocating drunk driving, but the sincerity is different. Honestly, the latter can be read as if he really feels sorry, but the former is at the level of making fun of the fans
7. The latter is not only driving when he was hungover, but it seems to have a better reaction (?) because he said he was voluntarily leaving the show he's on. He said he would take responsibility for not appearing on the show and return to being a commoner, what else do people expect him to say?
8. Sigh... The reality slap...
9. Jang Won-sam is an athlete who has been very careful since his days in active service for fear of being criticized, and it's a bit of a comparison because he was driving while hungover...ㅜㅜ Drunk driving and hangover driving are both wrong, but it's been 9 hours since he last drunk, who knew he would've still been caught..
10. The fact is that Jang Won-sam was hangover driving while Suga was actually drunk driving ㅋㅋㅋㅋI agree that the athlete's apology is more mature than Suga's. It's not surprising that Suga is hiding behind the fans' backs, he's just not that mature even at 30+ years old.
By the way, if an athlete really decided to give up his activity because of an accident, then this is the act of a real man.

Nmixx will probably not be a group that is super popular amongst the general public. Their debut and first comeback were too polarizing for that. Individual songs can do well, like Love Me Like This, and individual members can be popular, like Sullyoon, but I don't think the group will ever be beloved by the GP like Ive, Lesserafim, or New Jeans. And Dash is a really good song, but it isn't the type of song that is going to chart super high at this time of year. The charts are like 70% ballads right now.
Le Sserafim is liked? Everyone hated her so much that they closed the comments out of fear. Don't make me laugh. Le Sserafim is hated so much that every failure of theirs will cause a wave of hate.

See that? - this is bold and good, the track is not K-pop at all, it's not like they decided to go as far away from the K-pop style as possible. It seems to me that such tracks can be easily recommended to outside listeners, as always the most interesting are the verses, not the chorus. In general, I will listen, it's fire.
-
In fact, the quality of the tracks does not matter at all, they can take the simplest track, buy playlists on all platforms, buy more advertising and suddenly make it viral, so that later people talk about the top group. Fifty-Fifty became a top group thanks to promotion on TikTok, just like ILLIT. If you know all the members of this group, then it is already top

The mixxpop genre is just an awful gimmick that JYPE thought they could pull off for some reason.
They could have done anything else, and I doubt would have done worse.
Should they do TikTok-pop? Why? Stray kids were also not popular in Korea, and few people liked their music, and where are they now?

Koreans still have memories of when Koreans were colonized, enslaved, raped and murdered by Japanese forces, and they want public figures to show solidarity by not posting anything with Japanese for their independence day. So why is it so difficult for international fans to understand that and allow them to be angry? International fans got even songs about curry taken down. Yet just staying quiet and letting Koreans grief on the day they were liberated is too much
Korea has its own culture, it’s stupid to criticize them for that. If they want to hate, let them hate, there’s nothing wrong with it, and there’s something like that everywhere. It amuses me more how foreigners get into this. Seriously, if K-pop idols are given a choice between foreign fans and Korean ones, they will choose Koreans, very often they don’t even understand Western culture and don’t want to understand it, but the foreign fandom firmly believes in the need to impose this very culture just because they are fans of him.

"Korea and Japan with America in a three nation security pact."
Now in 2024 to believe in the US is simply ridiculous. Your defense pact will last as long as Taiwan is independent, as soon as China begins to restore the territories the US will transfer all armed forces to Korea and Japan to directly put pressure on China.

Tatiana1820 - She is iconic and entertaining, some of her takes might seem crazy to some people but a lot of times they turn out to be true. Some users are often times excessively rude and nasty towards her but she never loses calm demeanor, which is quite impressive.
Adelaidestevsn - i often times come to akp and see my notifications explode with her reactions to my comment, i really appreciate all the support. She doesn't comments a lot but when she does they're bombs.
Yama-Chan - he's kinda a somewhat closeted mhj supporter, he feels shy and worries that people will judge him if he fully joins us in mhj simp club but he's lately been pretty vocal about his support for mhj, so its very nice improvement, especially considering he used to be a hybe gg company stan and used to talk of "hybe family" few months ago
Prongs - doesn't see him that much active outside of ador-hybe mega thread but in that thread he's a sharp shooter, he always uses logic and fans to take down all the clueless users spewing nonsense about mhj
oldies - he doesn't seems much active anymore from past month or two but he used be very active in early months. His posts are also full of facts and deep analysis, his posts are so thoughtful and accurate that even "neutral" used to agree.
MochaCinnamon - they're quite funny and a valuable part of mhj faction too
Dreamer95 - what should i say about him, he's a well known legend of akp. I consider him as a valuable ally in my anti hybe agenda
Karl-III - not sure if he's pro mhj or just hates hybe more than anything but i really appreciate his contribution in fighting the hybe simps from taking over akp and turing it into reddit.
Also special mentions to soshixbang and ahycrime for their constant stream of likes and reactions to my pro mhj comments in the mega thread, i appreciate it.
Im kinda bad at remembering names so its very likely i might have forgotten to mention some more mhj supporters but from depth of my heart i would let you all mhj supporters know that you're in the right side of history. Newjeans, Newjeans' parents, MHJ and Ador all appreciates your support. This battle is difficult but we will come on top Hybe's downfall is inevitable. All hail Holy Mother MHJ
Edit:-
How did i forget 0ppar - i really appreciate his regular stream of the translations of knetz posts and korean news shitting on hybe
I'm more of a NewJeans fan than MHJ, but I still support her because I hate HYBE who is doing complete crap out of impunity. And MHJ is a really great producer, some of her ideas are just awesome, I'd like her to work with NMIXX for some kind of comeback.

For the record, Karl-III made an awful joke about an issue in prisons. I don't want to reiterate it, but that's the gist of it. You may have heard it at some point in your life, as it's sadly common rhetoric. That's an unfortunate reflection of where society's at when it comes to that issue.
Action has been taken in regard to that comment. Let it be a learning moment.
I know some people like to mess around and play up rivalries for fun when it comes to K-pop. I can tolerate that since it's part of the game for some people. Kinda like sports and sports fans. I’ve competed in sports and I’ve also been a sports fan. I understand friendly competition and harmless trash talk.
But when there's real ill will towards idols and fans, that's something I won't let slide. If you have so much hate in your heart, I suggest you look deeply within and figure out why.
You are being too strict about the situation, alcohol has never been an excuse, but on the contrary is an aggravating factor. In this situation, it is not shameful to joke about his stupidity, and he is a stupid person because he got behind the wheel drunk, and he was sure that it was normal .As I already said, I was in many groups where they drank, but drinking is not bad, what is bad is starting fights, damaging property, driving cars/scooters, and a normal person will always behave appropriately regardless of how much alcohol he drank.
-
They won't do it because in retaliation, the Korean media might start a massive investigation into HYBE. Imagine, many topics will be raised in the media payola, sagaeji, MHJ investigation and many more. The media can literally destroy HYBE's reputation. Do you think they want this or do they care about foreign fans?

I don't want to upset you, but the police confirmed that it was an electric scooter, not a board. Secondly, the portal that published the video in high quality also published the fact that Suga's blood alcohol level was 0.227, so it's unlikely that they are lying.

Some comments on the article were koreans saying it was a bike lane and if you look at the video there was not a stream of people. There was literally one person and he was clearly going slow. Plus, he literally had 3 officers behind him who did nothing, they didn't see an issue and only went up to him bc he fell. Just to check on him as there were passing by. So no, it's not more serious than the pervious one.
Well if it's one person, then who cares about him now? This is the part of the video that is the ending, but even so, one person is enough. If one person means nothing to you, then why are you defending Suga, BTS will have 6 more members.
