probably bc yg is one company and hybe technically isnt a label itself and its ggs are all under diff managements with diff production teams? yg is notorious for copying 2ne1 with BP and now copying BP with BM (which i may add was an original name for BP) while hybe isnt and is just using trends in their favor as is the rest of the industry. nwjns and illit sound similar but i dont think that illit is a copy.

As much as I dislike Baemon and any YG GG after 2ne1, having 4 members would just make it more obvious they are a copy of a copy, and YG is dumb but not that dumb. And yes, SHEESH is a horrible song. Obviously Teddy basically leaving YG fucked over whatever was left of it.
The main issue with YG GGs is that they can't let go of the girl crush concept. Also these girls are all high schoolers trying to act badass which makes it seem forced against the more refreshing and popular concepts nowadays. 2ne1 did amazing with girlcrush, but it seriously died out after BP did HYLT, which I believe imo is the last good girl crush concept song.

Everyone's breaking up nowadays, first han so hee and ryu jun yeol now karina and lee jae wook... netizens need to leave these people alone plus karina and jae wook were dating for what four months? i wish that they could have been together longer

I honestly think that Sunhye will take the title. As much as I love KIOF, Young Posse just has a stronger rapline and is one of the few girl groups where I enjoy their raps. Sunhye is a real rapper, technically focused and has strong flow and while Soyeon is not a bad rapper there are better 4th gen gg rappers than her (my pick being Moon Sua).

All the girls are really pretty, but Sarang really caught my attention. The song is also really good too, I like the concept.

Was noise music ever really in? One song (Next Level) did very well and then it was copied by flop after flop
Eh, for GGs it may have been a one time thing but with BGs its been around and successful, despite the actual quality of the song. I wouldn't know though.

Thank you nj for saving my ears
lol in all seriousness, I don’t have a problem with louder, more bombastic, more rap-heavy songs, they just need to be well executed and not get on my nerves for whatever reason lol, which unfortunately is a trend that many songs in the past decade fell victim to
if i had to endure so much trash in my kpop journey for such a long time, then other people who don’t vibe with this new current music trend can stuff it and do the same without being bitter, whiny bitches
I agree, noise music can be amazing when done correctly. Stray Kids TTATH is one of my favorite songs of theirs (although the 3RACHA producer tag terrifies me for some reason) and is definitely on the more noisy, experimental side of their discography. I do enjoy the newer songs though, it's good background music. As a noisy bg fan I think it's good for trends to switch up, it has really broadened my musical horizons.

I've noticed a trend in K-Pop nowadays; noise music is dead. In the mid-late 2010's up into quarantine era, noise music was everywhere, think Stray Kids's title tracks, NCT 127's Sticker (the epitome of noise music), Kick It, Aespa's Savage, Blackpink Boombayah (somewhat) to name a few. However, in the last year more refreshing songs are the trend; NewJeans, TWS Plot Twist, ILLIT Magnetic, ZB1 In Bloom, etc. Seeing this switch at the height of a lot of BGs careers, I wonder are fans finally moving away from noise music or is this just a trend?

yes but never did i say that adult armies will stop being armies i'm just saying that a majority of the fanbase won't be streaming anymore causing numbers to drop
-
Not everyone is like your dad; not everyone is like you. People are different. Just because your dad doesn't go to concerts and actively listen to (stream) music, doesn't mean everyone is like that. Which would be obvious if you knew who was their concert audience. USA has especially diverse audience, people of various races, age, sexuality, genders attend them. bts also commented on it.
You remind me of people who say that films/series about super heroes, monsters, aliens, and fantasy genre in general are for kids.
That was just one example, I never said that spoke for every adult army. Don't turn an example into a generalization. And I never said k-pop was just for adults either, I don't think that. I know armies/kpop fans who are as young as I was when I first found bts and adult age too.

i agree again, no group is bigger than bts at the moment and most likely ever, i never said my favs ore better or more influential that bts because while the former depends on personal taste, i would be an idiot to say even my more popular groups i stan such as twice, exo, seventeen, txt, rival bts in popularity

You obviously have something against age and adults over 30? It might be hard for you to get but adults enjoy the same things teens do. People listen to music and go to concerts regardless of their age, everyone likes to have a good time. What do you think that 30+ do in their free time? crochet?
This is forum and we have people with kids. On twitter there are plenty of accounts that are run by 30+. Again you and age
i never said that i'm just saying adults have work and family and for some children to take care of, like my dad loves music and went to concerts all the time but when you have a kid at home that isnt as easy as it was as a young adult. also my mind is stuck in 2020 (2020 effect!) so i seriously underestimate age

No, it's not necessarily bad. Their overall numbers may go down as no one stays on top forever but don't count on it just yet. In fact, I would even dare to say that no present kpop groups will ever reach the height of fame, popularity, influence, recognition and the countless records they have created, in the foreseeable future. In fact, most of these kpop groups would have already disbanded before BTS progression starts to decline
I will also NOT diminish their RELEVANCE. They are Korea's National Treasure as they should be. They are icons as none of the past and present Kpop idols have made as great impact, both locally and globally, in the fields of entertainment, economy and soft power as they do.

i actually agree with you numbers are not everything, think groups such as seo taiji and boys or ses, neither has more than 200k monthly listeners on spotify yet kpop would not be the same without them and i feel that will be bts' status in 20ish years
