We are neither writing or speaking in Mandarin, in English yuans is generally used to refer to the renminbi. And even in Mandarin yuan is used for many different currencies, even the US dollar is called the American yuan(美元)

And especially in Korea, even when the founder retires, the next to assume is a son or someone else in the family, for example the current head of Samsung is the grandson of the founder and even received a presidential pardon after being arrested.

BoA was huge in SK for a few years but the peak was fleeting since she focused most of her efforts and time in Japan. I don't think she was able to maintain a dedicated fanbase in SK. If you compare her to her contemporaries like Lee Hyori and Jang Nara, they were both much more popular in SK (though Jang Nara was also pretty popular in China).
It does not look like she maintained a dedicated fanbase in Japan either, her last JP studio album in 2018 sold 8,242 while in 2020 her KR studio album actually sold more with 17,371 Korean sales plus 1000 Oricon sales

According to the common narrative YG should be the most hated company, they had all those scandals in SK like Burning Sun and even before that there was the drugs scandals, and for the international side most if not all fans of the groups under the company are always complaining about mistreatment and hiatuses and specially about members/groups who left or were kicked out like Hanbin, 2NE1, most recently the whole of iKON etc

Only one member is part of this issue, and I agree that all the media talk can make people curious to check out the song, but this has become bigger and bigger, even the Naver news section is posting about it and people who are generally not interested in idol news are commenting negatively, HYBE's image is getting worse and worse, which might jeopardize not only this group but things like the BTS military exemption that they have been hoping to get
