It goes fast indeed. Though the difference between Brave Girls and IDLE is that the latter's growth is *organic* (we don't use that word as often as before, a shame!).
I Never Die and TOMBOY don't come out of nowhere. The group was on the rise ever since Queendom in 2019.
Rather than organic, which is mostly used in kpopverse to indicate that success was driven by actual interest not just fan power or company interference , the difference is more between steady growth and a one hit wonder. Brave Girls got their moment in the spotlight, but Gidle's rise has been a steady increase in sales, fans, and brand power ever since their successful debut. Those factors wouldn't simply vanish over a day even if they didn't reach the same level of success as before, like Gfriend compared to Momoland.

It's cool that she knows the girls so well that she can even make individual segments suited for each of them. It's truly a credit to her as a songwriter to be able to adapt so well to the artist you're working with, hide their weaknesses and promote their strengths

We're not questioning it, because it assumes that the victim was "asking for it" There are, unfortunately, a lot of people out there who gain pleasure from hurting others, are provoked by kindness (seen as weakness), or have the idea that they are above everyone else. We do not know exactly what went on, but the fact that SM, who has quite the grip on the media, had to settle means that there really was an issue.

I mean nonsense words and loosely connected sentences seem to be a trend nowadays. Especially with covid, I think the practice of several people working on a song result in many of them sounding like five songs in one with lyrics like that game where you fold a paper and pass it around. For example, BP's random "it's a bird, it's a plane", Aespa's built an entire career on nonsense about Kwangya etc.
With their careers on the line, I'm sure Soyeon tried to make everything as trendy as possible, while still finding that niche that makes them Gidle.

People always try to insinuate that she is overbearing and may supress the other members when numerous times off of their own backs the members say how much they adore and appreciate what she does for them, they trust her ideas and they know she crafts parts especially specific to their aura and cadence to make them all shine, much better than any random old man writer/producer could.
It's because they hate her. In their eyes, she's a non-visual daring to fulfill the kind of role in a group that usually is reserved for the most popular (= the prettiest) member. That's why they'd rather have Shuhua whispering the entire song off-key and Soyeon kicked off the group.

Among international fans, self-producing is a very big bragworthy thing, so I can see why she gets hyped so hard. And she is a talented rapper, even if she's having her turn to get dragged for this comeback.
I'm pretty certain that Miyeon is more popular in Korea, she's got a pretty voice and she's got the visuals. With foreign members it's hard to quantify. Minnie seems well liked, Shuhua is considered very pretty, and Yuqi has a lot of charisma (maybe the strongest fanbase over all?)
Having her turn? Soyeon's been dragged since before Gidle even debuted, as people stated they would not support Hyuna no. 2. Her looks, height, and voice are continually dragged even by the fandom, and every little thing that goes wrong is placed on her shoulders, while all the credit for their achievements is attributed to the other, "prettier" members. If anything, people are creaming themselves over this opportunity to drag the only thing they couldn't criticize before, her rapping.

A waste? Definitely not!
For the groups from smaller companies, it's a way to reach a bigger audience that they might not have access to without their participation, and for the popular companies it's a way to test the marketability and readiness of their idols. Remember that it is very uncommon for all the members of a group to be successful in their own right; even if the group itself is not successful, just having one member with public recognition and some endorsements can mean profit.

Explain what? Lmao....what a fool.
Edit, Sana in More & More btw after 4 ish years and different style and make up, weight loss and still with big cheek bones, obviously.
But you made the claim so the burden of proof is on you, do explain the timeline of when she had them done and I'll try to find you a period of 2-3 months she had off of touring, CF, filming, touring, fan meets, Japan activity to heal up.(along with the implants, jaw shave and face lift lmao)
Just like to point out that, while the complete healing time is long, you take the stitches out within a week or two and can function mostly as normal. The swelling and bruising depend on the person and if you ice it before a shoot or performance it should be barely visible. Celebrity makeup is very professional and able to hide most scarring and bruising. Also note that the jaw shave has a much shorter healing time and is a much less invasive procedure than, say, a proper jaw alignment. That is noticeable in idols like Jessica and Hyomin, who could have benefited from the medical procedure but who, due to time constrictions, opted for the jaw shave instead (which is why their jaws often look off, because they still have an underbite).
In normal cases, yes, you should not engage in physical exertion for months, but since when have idols (and/or agencies) ever followed common sense when it comes to health? In a week or two they will be up and about performing as usual. Hyoyeon, for example, went through the entire promotion of IGAB whilst recovering from jaw surgery. This is another reason why many idols require repeated surgery, as the healing is botched.
I'm not saying that this is evidently the case here, but it is very possible to go about your business as usual (though not recommended) a week after surgery.

i agree but tbf in jimin's case she digged her own grave by answering mina's accusation in such a rude and impulsive way. A lot of people would be more inclined to stay neutral if she had gave a more responsible and well thought answer, especially because Mina didn't seem to be that mentally healthy when she made the accusations.
I doubt they would, the public hated Jimin from the start. I admit that it would have been wiser to say nothing and let the company speak for her, but if I were accused of bullying someone (provided it's not true) and had my own career and that of my friends on the line, I'd be pretty pissed as well. Please note that Jimin was hardly in a healthy mental state either and is probably much worse of now.
-
all other parties except Jimin basically all confirmed the bullying was true.
Did they?
AOA members never stated that there was any bullying, neither did Choa. FNC DID release Jimin from her contract, but that was more about trying to protect their economic interest (Seolhyun), and they never gave an announcement that there was any bullying. No staff members of either FNC, music shows or variety shows have spoken up for Mina, and I've not seen any statements from fellow idols about it either.

But like, even if she say it's true, proofs are needed. Or it will be just like Soojin's accusation that is just she said/they said, and that's not enough to cancel someone.
Unfortunately, it is, as we've seen with Jimin and several others... No evidence presented, no witnesses, no text messages, recordings etc. but it was enough to destroy several careers
At this point, people are just out for blood and anyone not from a top group is a potential target for unsubstantiated accusations

Too difficult to choose... probably Dilly Dally for Japanese, and Lovesick/Dressing Room for Korean

I think she's smaller, she looks smaller than Soyeon in Wow Thing dance practice and Soyeon is not taller than 157 cm

For the cases of Jimin and Irene, they were really obvious with all the facts and reasonings behind it.
But for this I’m putting myself on the fence. I feel like there isn’t much facts at hand and the current accusations does feel fishy at the moment, and I don’t want to invalidate the victim too either. I’ll just wait for more facts to come out before making a judgement.
What facts were there for Jimin, other than people not liking her and finding her ugly? All we got was Mina's version and no corroboration from anyone else, and with her immediately gaining general support and threatening suicide, what could Jimin do to support herself?
While it is possible that Jimin did all that, let's not pretend that there is any actual evidence (witnesses, recordings, screen shots etc): it's simply word against word and that was enough to kill 5 careers...
