Imagine writing this statement while 3 GG songs are in the top 10 of melon two of which are top 5.

There was literally a trending topic about how Girl Groups have been having an insane year this year off of what they've been doing in 2022.

Like maybe write this post in a year where it doesn't seem completely detached from reality.

I guess we might have a different interpretation of what constitutes floppage but one thing common about all of those "so called flops" is that they've sold a lot of albums which is traditionally BG territory

(I'm not saying they've sold as much albums as the top BG but they are certainly selling more than before)

For the last 2 years Girlgroup charting has been strong, much stronger than in late third gen groups (minus Blackpink)

sales figures are astronomical

If anything,I think they're more heated for them than usual
