Lok at that dominance🤗
Lovesick Girl is that bitch !!!!
not enough people to really gauge accurately what the public is listening to. It looks like what the old charts looked like when fangirls were zombie streaming at 3AM. They'd line up their faves' songs on the chart including 5 year old songs. It was a bit of a joke.
Until Korea consolidates into a platform you can't tell what's popular in Korea anymore.
Even Melon is down to 35% marketshare. Users are now spread too thinly across about 7 platforms to really gauge what's popular with the public anymore.
Until a platform can pull 45-50% of the market, music in Korea will continue to be a jumbled mess.
I personally think domestic charts are a lost cause. Too many reforms to combat fan manipulation, and the public still has a hard time navigating through fandom mess to find songs they are actually interested in. Plus all the scandals and lawsuits Melon has.
I do think Spotify will eventually take over though.
Maybe Korea uses Melon over Spotify in terms of streaming?
Lovesick girls
DRIVERS LICENSE YES MA'AM
anyway, look at how the chart was dominated by Korean releases the week of release, but then overtime alot more Western releases took over. Looks like Koreans went back to their local streaming services lol
The average streams per week also decreased lol
I knew Spotify wouldn't make much noise in Korea when I knew that it's more expensive than any other local streaming service. But let's see ig
drivers license is getting streams from korea too damn that song.
It’s playlisted everywhere. Not surprising
LSG my Queen
It's totally different from the Korean Platforms Charts
Which means that the GP aren't tuning into Spotify lol. 1st week looks like the Melon realtime charts at 2AM and the subsequent weeks are clearly a result of playlisting + fandom streaming here and there.
When Celebrity isn't even in the top 15 for the latest update, something is wrong.
Celebrity got removed I believe but yes, there's clearly very little public support.
