Display Morei'm betting le sserafim if roty is just based on numbers
they'll likely hit 500k for a debut
album is strong, promo is great, and members are magnetic
ls's cb will break more records
but ive is a very strong contender
nmixx could be a challenge, if their cb doesn't have a trainwreck as a title track
(or heck, release this o.o remix:

I honestly have no idea how you can say it is lesserafim when you are saying you are based on numbers.
IVE have 2 albums and have a total of 700k in hanteo and probably around 900k in Gaon.
ELVEN and LOVE DIVE both are well received in kchart. ELEVEN have around 300M in Gaon and while LOVE DIVE have insane number weekly in gaon right now. IVE currently combined with almost 400M digital point in Gaon already while lesserafim have nothing other than physical sales atm. We will need to see how well FEARLESS chart to decide whether they are contender for roty.
nmixx and kep1er already out tbh. IVE is too strong with 2 hits songs. Nmixx and kep1er already have a comback, but they don't have good digital. They aren't winning the physical race either. Therefore, I don't think they are contender as harsh as I have to say this.
so the possible contender only ive for now, but I can see possibilities for lesserafim if they can chart well with fearless.
I mean objectively speaking, it's probably IVE's win just because they have a head start on everybody and had a hit on debut. Like other's have said, it's likely that they'll come back again before the end of the year. So that's three releases with two hits already and possibly a third. I would love for LSFM to be competition but even if there's a chance that Fearless rises up the charts and becomes a hit, they still would need to come back two more times and get hits again which is basically time-wise impossible at this time. The only feasible way to catch up would be to massively outsell IVE also but that would probably require like a 900,000+ album to make up for one less comeback.
ADOR and YGNGG are also out just because they're coming into the game too late. Nmixx is out because their debut wasn't a hit. Same with Kep1er (except for Mnet doing Mnet things for MAMA lol).
It's kinda boring to say it but there's probably no competition for ROTY anymore
Display MoreIVE will win for sure
they have the advantage of debuting earlier and their debut and their comeback totally smashed in everything add to that they have an it girl and it seems starship is handling them very well. All the girls are starting to shine on their own
I bet starship will play safe and will make IVE to have a comeback around september with a mini or full album to secure the position and it's game over.
They are the only group who totally smashed since their debut and they are going higher and higher
I think their next cb will be japanese debut so they wont lose momentum in japan, love dive did really well there

Noooooo. I hate Japanese releases! I almost never like them and prefer them spending that time on Korean releases

Honestly if they sign with universal japan like monsta x, i'll be very excited and look forward to it. Universal Japan provide good music and top notch quality videos, they were the ones for snsd, bts, shinee. That means IF ive sign, because wjsn and cravity didnt, they have no japanese songs as far as i know. But imo it would be foolish of starship to not make use of ive's popularity in japan. If mx topped billboard hot100 there with a japanese version of their song Ive can do much much better.
Ive (clearcut leader, balanced physicals and digitals)
Lesserfrim (perhaps the top dog physical sellers, they just need one big hit next comeback)
NMIXX (i cant count out JYPE with GGs, the lineage is legendary with WG, MissA, Twice, Itzy, Niziu)
And the wild card of the bunch is Yena. She just got invited to some rando singing show called NewFesta, which includes apparently several popular singers including the trendy Lee Mujin and Melonmance.
If she continues to grow her brand among the GP, y'all better watch out, she might just snatch a #1 hit on her next comeback.
