Most of the groups here have only released one song. The second release will be a lot more telling about who the year belongs to.
Le Sserafim just debuted, KEP1ER will likely have a comeback right after Queendom 2, and NMIXX released the worst debut song in a long while BUT that means that they really have nowhere to go but up. IVE is looking like the frontrunner BUT they're also the only group in this list that's had a comeback since their debut. By September/October, it will be a lot more obvious.

they have the advantage of debuting earlier and their debut and their comeback totally smashed in everything add to that they have an it girl and it seems starship is handling them very well. All the girls are starting to shine on their own
I bet starship will play safe and will make IVE to have a comeback around september with a mini or full album to secure the position and it's game over.

The year's just started in k-pop. Summer's approaching fast (except for Aussies like me ;-;) and that means releases galore. Ive's just had a comeback, the rest their debut, so it's weird for people to say that Ive's gonna secure it no matter what. I think there's gonna be more of a fight than other people, especially with the potential Le Serrafin has.
