It's not like the same thing as miss a will happen again. jyp groups tend to have multiple stand out members. There's no way the member will become bigger than the group unless they give their groups crappy songs. jyp is paranoid atp

Yes, that is what I meant. JYP is no longer aiming for the top with their groups. It's all about long-term profitable groups that take as much money out of their fans' pockets as possible. That's why JYP produces so many comebacks every year. Kpop is turning more and more into the Japanese industry where it doesn't matter what you release because you gain 100-300k in total album sales with every comeback anyway. Not saying JYP releases are worse than others but you know what I mean.

That's why they don't want individual popular members who could potentially cause turmoil in the group.

Then when JYP gets too greedy and schedules 8 comebacks in two years to squeeze every ounce of blood from his top group, we can look forward to more hiatuses and mental and physical breakdowns from group members. Then contract extension talks come around and Twice members realize that they've been given no opportunities to get into other fields like solo albums or acting opportunities, so their only choice is to sign again with JYP as a group on his terms or retire from entertainment industry completely.

The only way i will ever forgive JYP is if we find out that each Twice member will get enough compensation to never have to work again when they leave JYPE (10 million each) and we see Mina looking as happy performing as she did on Sixteen (i've seen hopeful flashes during their recent concert).
