So about 2 years ago, I made a thread asking if BTS has the most national hits, but that topic has been discussed to death at this point. So I'm here to discuss something slightly different.
BTS recently tied TWICE as the group with the most certified songs by Gaon, both with 10.
I consider the following songs hits since they have 2/3 things listed below:
- 3M Melon ULs
- 200M Spotify streams
- ≥ 1 certification outside of Korea
FIRE (3/3); Permission to Dance (3/3); I NEED U (3/3); Euphoria 3/3); Mikrokosmos (3/3); Dope (3/3), Life Goes On (3/3), Black Swan (3/3), Make it Right (3/3), Anpanman (3/3), I'm Fine (2/3), Best of Me (2/3), Not Today (2/3), Magic Shop (2/3), and The Truth Untold (2/3).
Out of these 15, 7 of them have music videos and all of them have at least 200M views. FIRE's M/V has over 1 billion combined views from 1theK and HYBE channels; DOPE is similar with 800M+ views across 2 uploads. PTD and LGO are both above 400M views each.
BTS has the most certified songs by the RIAJ (in streaming) for a Kpop group with 2.36B accredited streams. They also have the most songs certified in both the US, Australia, and UK for a kpop group.
Now I know people will bring up BP, TWICE, BIGBANG, etc. But I've extensively researched international certifications.
Results in spoilers below, organized by group.

I did not use downloads as a benchmark since they're so rare now, but I will acknowledge that BIGBANG has 10 singles with at least 2.5M downloads + several others with 1M+. Not including 7 b-sides that clocked at least 1M as well. When it comes to South Korea, they are the only group touching BTS digitally.
