I agree, they are called B fucking side for a reason, I am here for A tier tracks only
Why waste on full albums

best solution? Follow YG's style (not the long hiatus but make the most out of an album)
YG always make full use of the album tracks. For example:
-2ne1 released bunch of pre-release singles before a full album
- Big bang released Blue, Bad boys before Fantastic baby with Alive
- Big bang released M,A,D & E (2 tracks each separately) before releasing the full album MADE. This is the highest quality album I ever heard cause 9/10 songs are title track and that last song is also title track worthy
- Blackpink released HYLT, Ice cream and finally LSG alongisde album release (should have followed up with Pretty Savage then the era is complete)
- AKMU promoted double title for debut album and then continue with Give Love as promotional track
- Double title tracks for many acts like Winner, ikon, blackpink etc
This is why i prefer the YG promotion style. Cause the album tracks are of quality and any can be title tracks. There are less fillers too. Wonder why YG doesnt do it for Treasure. For Somi case, is a big no no cause she simply added old songs to become an album.
But i guess some kpop fans are so used to kpop group releasing one EP and only listen to the title track and then move on. It is very obvious from the charting of especially most GGs. Some BGs at least do better on streaming of whole albums

Some of my fav songs from Twice and Dreamcatcher are their B-sides.
Also, with B-sides they get to experiment, release songs that they want to release.
Usually the title track is chosen by the company (media play and so on)
But in B-sides they get to show their creativity and their music.

It's only a waste if a group's production team doesn't make a full album worth relistening to.
If over half of the album isn't good, it probably would be more cost effective to do a mini album. If only 2-3 songs on the mini album are good, it would be better just to do a single with 1 or 2 additional tracks.
Who's fault is it for creating a title track focus? If you have a certain level of production quality, you don't even need to select a title track. That's a rule worth breaking.

Someone already mentioned concerts.
That didn't stop Blackpink haha. If you recall, they received criticism for holding concerts without enough songs.
According to this Wikipedia page, their "Set list of the first show in Seoul" consisted of 20 songs (which is already short), and 9 of them were covers/remixes/repeats.
"Ddu-Du Ddu-Du"
"Forever Young"
Remix - "Stay" (remixed version)
Cover - "Sure Thing" (Miguel cover)
"Whistle"

Cover - "Let It Be / You & I / Only Look At Me" (Rosé solo)
