I just think it's a solid, strong word. I like that it references that the fandom is a force to be reckoned and a large, bonded entity due to the word's normal meaning. It's easy to pronounce, highly recognizable, lends itself to good designs, and is easy to make to puns with.
I am however ignoring the cringe acronym lol

Apparently we're also called aeris, which i prefer tbh.
It took me forever to get that nctzen was pronounced N-city-zen instead of N-C-T-zen and I was like, that's a weird name! Lol

Out of popular groups I would say moomoo, atiny are my least favorite. Also monbebe doesn't roll off the tongue and kind gives the wtf reaction to people not familiar with MX so sorry to my fandom

YG boy groups all have pretty good fandom names (albeit a little similar).
VIP, Inner Circle and Ikonic.
Makes me feel important.
Chungha Byulharang is the prettiest but it’s hard for international fans to remember.
I do love ikonic. Inner circle is a bit long for me. VIP is hard to Google lol

I love sayin EXOL in fact it’s the only type of fandom name I like saying. It’s just the group name with an L. Special names of all kinds actually make me cringe. So all the other fandom names are not something I’d ever say out in public kekek.
