is fromis_9 the 4th gen Twice/Snsd?

Tbf Collapsedone did the the last few TTs for them. If he continue to do so, fromis9 might have some fromis in them

not completely sure about the "4th gen Twice/SNSD" part ik fromis_9 has 9 members but seeing how aespa blew up quicker than fromis (who only got their first win in 2021) it seems the former will break the "9-member NGG" pattern and become the 4th gen Twice/SNSD

Usually a group gets the 1st place on their 2nd year at least. And another problem is the reality scandal, mnet rigged out the 1st place, it was worse than Produce seasons. They can get popular, but I don't think they can snatch the nations girlgroup title.

The closest we got was Stayc

Theres no need to be the next whatever group there is when they can be themselves. They are doing fine and thats what matters.

I think they are a little late in their careers to be NGG.

People also thought OMG might become the next NGG, but that didn't really happen either.

You can be a big and popular group without being NGG though. It's a great title, but not needed to be successful and well known.

They have the talent, the vibe and the quality, just not the success

i love fromis and i hope they finally blow up the way they deserve, but i don't think they'll ever achieve that kind of status. it's just kinda late in the game for them and they have the rigging thing from idol school that's impossible to fully overcome.

still hoping the best for them though.

Their path to superstardom in Korea is OMG's. Start out as nugu/mid tier and then catch a big break in the second half of their contract. OMG's first win came three years after debut, Fromis' first win came three years after debut. OMG then got a big break with Queendom the year after their win, we'll see if Fromis gets a big break this year as well - they're actually a good candidate for Queendom 2 but the scandal may prevent them from being chosen. OTOH, Izone came back even stronger after their scandal with their digitals and physicals so maybe Korea doesnt care about rigging scandals anymore.
