Why does SHINee still attract fans to this day?

Cause boy groups have general support. It also depends on the group still being active

1. the solo work that the members release is popular on its own and high quality af, and therefore draws interest to the group itself

2. they're one of the only 2nd gen boygroups left standing that actually release good music and are still active

3. people in the k-pop community discuss them frequently, so curiosity is natural

SHINee have always been pretty active be it solo or as a group plus they've had very few scandals

Taemin is popular among new-gen kpop fans because of his solo work (Move, Advice, Criminal are fairly known among the new wave of kpop fans). Also, a lot of people also discovered SHINee after Taemin participated in SuperM

Their discography. Nearly every song is a good one and they always have quality albums as well.

Also, unlike other groups they're rarely involved in scandals or negative press. The members are popular.

The fandom - I am a casual Shawol and have found the fandom welcoming, friendly and supportive of each other and SHINee. I especially liked the way they handled Jonghyun's death and supported each other in grief.

They will always be SHINee five to me.

Good quality music through their entire career, solid solo activities, stability + lack of scandals.

All the above and the fact they started young so they still have youngerish image.

Members are still active and are releasing content that fits with the current generation.

Aside from all the reasons mentioned, bc they have tons of fans among active idols in the 3rd and 4th gen

They are literally mentioned everyday in some show by younger idols as the role model and what inspired them to also be artists

they still have so much under their sleeves all these year and release new freshly bop every times still bringing something new to the scene. no wonder people is not getting tired of them and still supporting them. not to mention each of the members still shine individually.

Another point that might be controversial, the members themselves dont have boomer energy. There have been 2nd generation idols who have criticized new gens unwarranted. SHINee members are always wholesome and supportive when they talk about their juniors.

lack of scandals is a major factor here.

Shinee literally never had a scandal with any member that would merit them getting cancelled by the general public. Can’t say the same for the other groups from the same era.

Also looking at all these YT trends and other social media, they are the ones who keep staying constant

I agree with the boomer thing. Also SHINee members are also very innovative. SHINee is a contemporary r&b group. An innovative group musically and they always try different music styles and release quality music. SHINee solo music are of very high quality too. Taemin pulled fans from the SuperM. I'm babywol. SHINee live performance top notch quality. I was more surprised than some other 2nd generation live performance. Cause SHINee's live performances were flawless and very high-energy. Their dance is so difficult but they also show charismatic performances.
