true. Yoo Young-jin worked extensively with TVXQ and i can see traces of him all over aespa songs he even does background vocals for them

Timing wise it works out. Their conpetition that period was mostly ITZY and somewhat StayC (but they arent on that level) since IZ*ONE was disbanding and (G)I-DLE had a controversey.
Music wise it is also because their debut was very different from the groups then. I might be wrong but for IVE, Eleven is also a very different and unique song compared to what we have now.
Concept wise people were also really interested in what will happen next. Yes sure there are many haters that shit on their AI concept but for every 1 hater there are 10 more others curious about it

They are a group of top visuals. They all look like IT girls similar to how BP does too. But it goes deeper because people know they are really good vocalists even if they don't get the chance to showcase it yet. Also the songs are earworms even if you don't like them, there are parts that stay with you or are so downright weird that you can't forget.

there won't be any fake rumor before debut if the hype is small. We got some pre-debut stans which unfortunately some of them now become hater and currently stanning Almost Aespa members and making an essay on how xyz members should debut instead of giselle for example.
Fyi, one of Karina bullying rumor is coming from an account that stanning ex smngg members. Tragic

Watch SMCU and NL teasers. I think this is the major cause that making non fans become interested with aespa. Hopefully they continue in the next tt.

the first group who pick up metaverse concept which is literally the hottest thing now and will be the concept that sought after 1 and 2 years from now I'm calling it. I just read big companies buying land in metaverse

Karina is perfect visual center to a T and could rap + sing + dance, winter is second coming of taeyeon, Ningning is second Bada, Giselle is greatest female rapper coming from SM (the bar is hell but still she can wrote her own rap and able to carry a tune)
-They debut at the right time and their senior above them is not the Top #1 in their gen (historically speaking , there weren't any company that able to recreate absolutely #1 group in each gen .
-their main producers is YYJ which is loved by Koreans. Even though he always coming up with cringy lyrics but hey when did lyrics become a problem as long as the song is good?

I started stanning when they released that lore video that was like 10 minutes long or something, I thought they were going to really get into VR and I thought timing was perfect for the pandemic since people can't go out.

SMCU episodes are released when they are gearing up for a comeback
so unless they start to drop teaser right now, i doubt they'll drop a SMCU episode now with no reason
