Yes, my partner likes camping and we went the year before last up in the mountains for New Year's Eve but it got a little too crowded. I prefer glamping in style in a cabin rather than a tent but it's still fun.

i went camping once when i was young. it was supposed to be a multiple day thing.
i made a friend there and had a sleepover in her tent with the thinnest blanket. i could feel every rock on the ground and she kicked around in her sleep. i didn't sleep at all.
i went to my parents' tent the next morning and found out they had a million blankets and it was cushy af.
it was an awful experience and we went home after the first day prob bc i complained.

All of my camping experiences have been horrid. It combines two unfavorable conditions: abhorrent humid heat and nasty itchy feelings which then aggravates the effects of the other. Maybe if the camping destination was somewhere cooler, the idea might entice me more but in my current circumstances, don't think we'd make a good pair

I grew up Camping every Weekend during the Summer.
National Parks, Lakes and Road Trips. Tent camping in the beginning to advance to Travel Trailer. Either way I mostly slept outside on a cot.
It is always a great experience. Even in the cold and rain it is a experience.Picture a Day starts by your habit of waking early. But this time your outside and its very cold because of the high altitude. Due to thinking it'll be warm because its Summer you only brought a sweat shirt and pants. If your lucky someone already started a camp fire to warm hands over. If not that is your job to start a camp fire.
Next is a very necessary ritual of having hot coffee or Hot Chocolate. Heating water for Hot Chocolate and a Coffee percolator on a small Camp Stove. is a welcoming sight. As more awake to stand around the fire gripping a hot cup of Coffee, working off the shivers.
It is about this time one gets the urge to take care of Business. It is a bit of a competition and good timing to score one of the few stalls available that everyone in the nearby Camps sites have to use. A communal experience of sights, sounds and smells. XD
Breakfast starts to be prepared, the usual fair is Eggs, Bacon and toast. Warmed Danish Rolls are made available to butter up to have with your Coffee.
Next is to get dressed for the day according to the plans. Sometimes everyone does their own thing other times in a group. Getting an early start is best. A variety of things to do like Hiking, Horse Ridding, Bicycling, hang out among groups of people to just relaxing in Camp. Whatever the activity one had to be back by Dinner time.
Stopping cause its a long story. -

I went camping for a couple of times during the summer with friends. It was really nice. I was avoiding it for a long time, since I thought it's not for me, sleeping outside.
I wouldn't go camping in the colder season, because even in summer it can be cold during the night, so I would freeze.
We had our tents by this beautiful river, so during the day we went for some activities as rafting, hiking etc, and at evening we had a barbecue and played games.
Camping site had bathrooms there, so that was an essential for me, shower is a must haha.

I went before as part of a cross country (running sport) expedition. It was fun and cozy. Great way to bond with people, share stories, get inspired, etc. I liked the campfire part. Just be sure to put it out completely.
It was difficult to sleep due to hearing all the animals at night; that's sure to put most people on edge. Other than that, it was enjoyable.

It's nice, kinda cosy really, but I'm not a huge fan. I like showers and clean clothes and that's not a combination that works with camping.

I mean Idk if they are common, but bears are everywhere in US national parks and woods. They can tear through cars if they smell a piece of gum, its serious business and I'm scared to mess up and get mauled by a bear
Depending on what species of bears you have they aren't too big a deal most of the year. Grizzlies are always something to be scared of but Black Bears aside from child rearing season aren't that bad if you're taking the proper precautions. I've camped in black bear country a good amount and the numbers are only growing where I'm at!
