Why did people want Irene in Girls on Top?

It’s fine. I actually prefer Irene not being in a lineup with Taeyeon and Hyoyeon

then they should take out some of the other RV members...but she can`t outsing Wendy or Seulgi

they just want her for visuals

but yeah no one on SM gg can do the RBF like Irene, she is a natural

I think if you compared it to SuperM, they picked the most popular members.

In that sense, Wendy and probably Seulgi and Hyoyeon would have probably been swapped out for Irene, Joy and Yoona.

While I'm looking forward to other iterations of the group, this line-up is powerful.

Ningning did deserve to be there though.

For the same reason people wanted Yoona, Joy, Krystal or others in the group.

Irene's actually 2nd best dancer, and whether you want to call it charm or skills as a center, she makes an impression on stage, same way as Yoona does.

Like others already mentioned, this is a very strong set up for Girls On Top, but it's not as if these are the only ones that would contribute to such a super group, there are enough talented female artists still around in SM.

i don’t think irene is useless but i do think she wouldn’t be able to replace anyone in the lineup

But of the current 15 female idols in SM only 2 are non Korean, both in Aespa who have 2 reps in there already. How is that an agenda when there's hardly any non Koreans to make it an issue unless you want SM to bring back Amber, Victoria and if you count them Tiffany and Jessica and then not use them for the unit

As much as I love Ning Ning I think it was best she be saved for another rotation.

We already have Taeyeon, Wendy, and Seulgi, 3 very strong vocalists.

Ning Ning is needed for the next rotation with her powerful heavenly vocals

Irene is talented and she always captures my attention on stage

Bc she has a lot of fans, and most fans by definition want to see their faves and get more content about them? Lol it’s not that hard a puzzle 😅

I want it that way too because Ningning, Joy, Yoona and Irene faces will look more harmonious side by side. I also think their vocal tones would be more harmonious together.
