anyone else into FNAF?

I haven't really played the games myself, but I remember being into the lore, and delving into theories online. (maybe that's kind of weird but I couldn't really handle the playing the game, and yet I was still intrigued with the story so I did a lot of research on it and watched videos about it >.>)
Markiplier's lets plays were the shit btw.

This was me...
I'm going to be completely honest, I was always too chicken to play the games (I played the VR game though which terrified the shit out of me which is a story for another time lol)
But I thought that the lore was very interesting. It's really dark...and I remember being afraid mostly of the Purple Guy. I had nightmares about him even more than I did for the animatronics...
I think that apparently you played him in Sister's Location (the worker) or something and at the end of every day, the citizens were cheering that he finished his day and he started changing and people started hiding so...

god markiplier has me acting up. 9 years now. Sister Location was an expertly crafted game (Ennard was the scariest for me) but i think Pizzeria Simulator was underrated and many overlooked it because it seemed like a joke even though there was this:

the lore is concrete, the canonicity of the lore and the endings is what's up in the air. it's suspected that three of the six endings are real/canon but not confirmed. Scott has also confirmed some lore from time to time on steam and reddit forums.

Yes! I’ve played all the main games and have been playing Security Breach! I played a little bit of the mobile game.(FNAF AR)I was able to friend Markiplier when made his qr code public in FNAF AR which was pretty cool. (When he was trying to get as many people as possible to send animatronics to him)

I remember playing the first one when it came out. We went from being stuck in one security office opening and closing doors to a gorgeous open world.
I mean the glitches/bugs aside Security Breach is a great game.

I GET GOOSEBUMPS EVERYTIME OMGGGGGG. THE CONFIRMATION THAT HENRY'S DAUGHTER IS THE PUPPET AND WILLIAM KILLED HER AND JUST WOW OH WOW AND THE LINE "Although, for one of you, the darkest pit of Hell has opened to swallow you whole, so don't keep the devil waiting, old friend."
many clowned on FNAF World but it had lots of interesting info in it and i really loved Old Man Consequences. Scott's ability to create deep, in-depth, secret characters is truly a craft that remains to be expertly replicated
haven't finished Security Breach yet but i've peeked at the six endings and some of them definitely spark conversation. many are coming to the conclusion that at most half of them are *possibly* canon.

I thought FNAF World was really cute! I loved the little character designs. It had the spooky element to it. It definitely wasn’t what I was expecting but I still enjoyed playing it. And I mean it ended up being made free.
I mean look at em. So cute
Ultimate Custom night was crazy to play too! Lots of lore dropped through the voice lines and the old man consequences bit. I loved the voice acting in it. Sister Location too. Baby’s voice always had a bit of an eerie feeling to it.
Yeah I’ve already seen the endings despite still playing it myself lol. I binge watched FusionZGamers videos because he dropped tons of them the night of release. He’s pumped out a lot of content very fast.

idk if you've seen it but there's a portion of the game where you can kill an animatronic in order to get upgrades for Freddy and they're all borderline sociopathic but Chica's is straight up horrifying... like.... that cutscene and its audio just supplied me with a decade's worth of nightmare fuel
and lore material bc a couple of year ago, Scott emphasized the importance of Toy Chica losing her beak once she left the stage in FNAF 2 but never explained it- and then in this game we just randomly have the option to kill Glamrock Chica and take her beak + voice box...
also i am adoring the fuck out of the 3 star ending/"Hero" ending where Vanny is saved and all three eat ice cream
the 2 star/Ending #2/"Destruction" ending is fucking disturbing considering Vanny is a human and Gregory orders the staff bots disassemble her (without knowing she's human of course but still) but the 1 Star/"Sad" ending is easily the worst bc Freddy was so sweet and he did NOT deserve to be torn apart.
i'm banking on most people discussing the 2 Star/"True" ending since it ties in the most to the Afton/Purple Guy lore and of course we get to see Springtrap get destroyed and totally "killed" (as if he won't come back AGAIN )
everyone already knew about the 2 star/Ending #4/"Unmasked" ending so that shit is NOT new... but apparently it is for some people? i cannot believe people actually didn't know Vanny was Vanessa like... we've known for over a year? do y'all not watch Game Theory? and even then, how do y'all not notice name similarity?
there are two other endings but they're "eh" to me. it's fascinating to me how in less than two days, everyone has unraveled this game. to be fair it's not complete (thank god) and i hope we get updates + DLC.
can you tell i'm obsessed with this series? i've counted disappearing paper plates, read the books, brightened images, and spent unimaginable time on this series like i am in DEEP
thank you for coming to my Ted talk

Tbh I think out of all of the Roxys hit me the hardest just because she literally walks around sobbing about what you’ve done to her. It didn’t completely take her out. You can hear how upset and distraught she is over what you did to her and taking her eyes.
Honestly same. I love game theory’s videos on them discussing the lore. The games are one thing but the lore is on another level.
Knowing that Vanny is human makes the ending where Greggory has them tear her apart is horrible. I mean they don’t show any blood but just imagining it.
I’m really excited to get to the springtrap part myself. My theory is the reason we don’t have Bonnie anymore is because Vanny dissembled him to rebuild Springtrap. That’s my thoughts anyway.
I say that and then they release dlc with him lol.
The three of them eating ice cream is definitely the best happy ending.
I do wonder about SunDrop/Moondrop. I hope we learn more about that.

i forget where in Security Breach, but Freddy mentions that there "used to be a bunny here, but not anymore" (paraphrasing), so i find that really interesting. of all of main characters, i think Bonnie is the most mysterious. he was mysteriously absent for Sister Location unless you count the hand-puppet. he's also the closest to Springtrap and the only animatronic who did not have a jumpscare in FNAF 3.
there were two major Shadow Bonnie easter eggs in FNAF 2 that were carried on to FNAF 3 in the minigames where you had to type 395248 (the hex code for the color purple btw) into the wall in order to play the minigames for the good ending. i always found him very fascinating as a character because even in 8-bit form he was scary and it was obvious it was possible he was around during the time when it was just Golden Freddy and Golden Bonnie (shown through the minigames he glitches through) but something went horribly wrong.
Shadow Bonnie is also shown in Security Breach next to all of the cardboard cutouts, (i believe one of them is Ennard) but Shadow Bonnie is the furthest back.
something i still cannot believe is that we were handed the explanation for Baby's "prototype" blue-print revealed in Sister Location. if you read the books (or watch MatPats videos) it's revealed that Baby has the ability to completely morph into a human, absolutely indistinguishable from an actual human, using pins in her arms. her backstory in the books makes no sense when you take the games into account, so i'm assuming she was already evil/possessed when she snatched the daughter in the Sister Location minigame. anyways, if you look at her blueprint, voila! this whole time there were pins in her arms!
another thing handed to us were the weird disks also shown on all of the new animatronics in the blueprints- and it's later revealed in the books that these are "illusion disks" that alter people's perception of the real world- so if you were standing in front of a decrepit pizzeria but you were near an animatronic with an illusion disk, you would see a brand new shiny pizzeria. the only sign that you're actually being affected by one is if you're nauseated but otherwise, you would never know.
but i digress. the issue i think there is- is that while Scott wrote the books to help the franchise along lore-wise, i don't believe everything written there can be true. it's important to remember that while Scott loves lore and mysteries (you remember the dreaded "box" that actually has human remains in it?), he would still make it simple enough to solve without the books. and way too many people are taking ALL of the book characters and running with them.
the only thing truly plausible and helpful taken from the books is what i mentioned above + Ennard's origin story + some of this https://fnaf-the-novel.fandom.com/wiki/The_Missing_Children otherwise i think they're two completely different entities. the only similarities should be what happened between the Afton Family and the Emily family. people have been complicating everything and the fact that Security Breach takes a step away from that while still continuing the storyline is confusing a lot of people.
not me going off on a tangent
Roxy was always self-centered from the beginning of the game so it's interesting to witness what happens when she's destroyed for sure. it is the saddest though imo. i do find Sundrop and Moondrop interesting though because many people have pointed out similarities to the puppet and if you look at the ceiling while Moondrop is chasing you in the daycare, you'll see strings/things moving up there indicating he's a puppet.

That’s what I love most about this game. They feel so real. They have personalities. Which is why it killed me that we had to destroy them like that. I mean I get it they were trying to kill us but like Freddy said at one point “They aren’t themselves.” Freddy shows actual concern. They really do feel alive. Just the fact that Roxy is so self absorbed and Monty seems to have some jealousy over Freddy being in front. At least that’s my take based on him replacing Freddy as the front man in one ending plus the last hole in the Monty Golf Mini Game(Freddys in the trash can and Monty is center stage.)
Chica has always loved food and eating trash going by the past games but this game it felt more real. Like how excited she gets with the pizza. That’s why I was excited to see Springtrap in this because of how much personality all of the characters really have. I was curious as to what they’d do with him personality wise. While we didn’t really get to see that I liked what they did with him. Not only that I’ve still been wondering about some of Freddys lines he said on the way down there. About how he had been down there before. I wonder if some of his parts may have been used in rebuilding Springtrap.
Yeah and I also remember how pissed the community was over the whole box thing, About why Scott decided to not open the box due to the way the community was acting at the time and people threatening to leave the fnaf community. I feel like that is truly his biggest downfall. Trying to overly please the community. He really did try and he gave us the best he could with those games and was very interactive with his community. My only beef I had with FNAF 4 at the time was the sound aspect. I had trouble hearing them at the doors. I thought design wise the animatronics were terrifying. All those teeth.
I feel like not everything in the books is relevant to the current story. Like I love the stories. Especially the original three(Silver Eyes and the other two who’s names I can remember.)
This is why I appreciate all the work that people like Mattpat do just because there’s so much to these games.

i'm gonna admit something i've never admitted to anyone. after FNAF 3 my little young self emailed him begging him to continue the series BC I RLLY THOUGHT IT WAS THE END (i mean to be fair the Good Ending entailed of the spirits being set free while playing the calming music soooooo OBVIOUSLY i'm the reason the series continued )
ANYWAYS
the community has gotten out of control at times which is why i was super heartbroken yet not surprised when Scott stepped back and he announced that he was retiring. it also explains why this game feels super incomplete and very inconsistent from what the trailers gave us, unlike past games which have had Scott's full involvement all the way through. the trailer had Vanessa trying to help us, not being annoyed at us and locking us in the Lost & Found. there were pleasant surprises such as *MUUUUUSSICCCC MANNNN* and the segment where there were Weeping Angels-esque endoskeletons coming after you- even Mark himself said that segment was what he wanted to see in this game.
also regarding FNAF 4 yeah many were angry about the sound aspect and rightfully so, the animatronic breathing was like trying to hear a fly breathing- not gonna happen. one of its upsides though (to a fault) was the inclusion of the bite. it TOOK FOUR GAMES TO GET THERE! and even then we didn't have a full explanation because if you went through the easter eggs you would notice that the game took place in 1983... meaning there's either two bites, the phone guy lied, or the phone guy was misinformed. this whole time the games set up Foxy to be the culprit (it's possible he is if there were two bite incidents) but in reality it was Golden Freddy (which is presumedly how he retired and how he got an angry spirit inside him in the first place). also the occasional appearance of flowers on the bedside table... we can't say we aren't provided hints that this kid is stuck in a nightmare dream sequence in the hospital after the bite. and then the sad "i will put you back together" at the end and the flatline when he dies. it's all very interesting and i believe one day we may get an explanation.
also loved the twist of the entire Sister Location facility being located under the FNAF 4 house... fucking epic.

on the surface it's survival horror but it actually has 7 years worth of lore and a storyline that people still have trouble piecing together completely. it's pretty intricate. the new game is a pleasant surprise though, it has jumpscares but the free-roam aspect is amazing plus it's gorgeous. 10/10 recommend.

also regarding FNAF 4 yeah many were angry about the sound aspect and rightfully so, the animatronic breathing was like trying to hear a fly breathing- not gonna happen. one of its upsides though (to a fault) was the inclusion of the bite. it TOOK FOUR GAMES TO GET THERE! and even then we didn't have a full explanation because if you went through the easter eggs you would notice that the game took place in 1983... meaning there's either two bites, the phone guy lied, or the phone guy was misinformed. this whole time the games set up Foxy to be the culprit (it's possible he is if there were two bite incidents) but in reality it was Golden Freddy (which is presumedly how he retired and how he got an angry spirit inside him in the first place). also the occasional appearance of flowers on the bedside table... we can't say we aren't provided hints that this kid is stuck in a nightmare dream sequence in the hospital after the bite. and then the sad "i will put you back together" at the end and the flatline when he dies. it's all very interesting and i believe one day we may get an explanation.
also loved the twist of the entire Sister Location facility being located under the FNAF 4 house... fucking epic.
Omg the music man. So terrifying like it’s so huge!!!! Imagine something that large and horrifying chasing you. It really is fascinating how Freddy is the only nice one to us. How he’s like say hi to DJ music man for me,all the while it chases us around trying to get us.
I’ll miss Scott not being involved anymore but honestly I don’t blame him for walking away. I honestly would have too after the way the community has behaved all these years. At some point I felt like this was going to happen. Just by his long steam comments he’d make after each drama appeared up in the community.
I actually thought 4 was going to be the last game just due to everything that was going on.
Sister location itself was such a good game. Baby was a well done character. I honestly didn’t expect her to turn on us. Where as with this game I’ve been waiting on Freddy to turn. Also The daycare attendant reminds me a lot of the puppet.
The whole bite thing was confusing. There’s still some lore holes that I don’t think we’ll ever get answers to. But to be fair I don’t think Scott really expected things to go on for this long.

to my knowledge Ennard scooped Baby (and the rest of them) and took her voice box, which is why we never saw her and it was Ennard commandeering us the whole time. honestly after each game it felt like he thought it was gonna fail so it was gonna be the last but it kept going which meant the lore expanded until it became way too massive. either way, i'm gonna miss the fire and the passion that was put in the games.
random and slightly off topic but Midnight Motorist was a hidden lore GEM and was what the community needed. sadly most fans skipped over the Pizzeria Simulator and forgot it was FNAF 6/an actual game. yes, it is confusing that William Afton/"Purple guy" is orange in the mini game, and i don't think we'll ever know why- BUT his car is purple and it is for sure on the same night after he killed Charlotte Emily (Henry's daughter) because in the game files it's called "Later that night". idk if you've seen the minigame but it explains why he put a camera in the Fredbear plush given to his youngest son (bite victim/crying child)- because his son used to run away from home. more info here- https://antagonists.fandom.com/wiki/Orange_Guy
to make that family even worse, Afton's oldest son (hopefully unintentionally) killed his youngest son by hurling him into Golden Freddy's mouth... yikers. and the "certain features" that the guy was inquiring Afton about at the beginning of Sister Location were those pins, illusion discs, and the hollowed out insides for snatching children.
also Ultimate Custom Night is underrated. like that entire game is William Afton being sent to his own personal "Hell" after killing "the one he should not have killed". dude tries to fend off the animatronics and dies to them and it repeats for the rest of eternity. fitting for a child killer.
i'm still working out the logistics of how this happened:
Fnaf 4: Afton is depicted as purple and is helping someone into a Golden Bonnie suit
Fnaf 2: Afton was the nightguard before us (Jeremy Fitzgerald) and is responsible for all the animatronics' hostility
Sister Location: Depict a guy turning purple, never confirmed to be Afton, his daughter got scooped by Baby and her soul is now trapped in Baby
Fnaf 3: Afton-> Springtrap
FF Pizzaeria Simulator: Springtrap-> Scraptrap
Ultimate Custom Night: Scraptrap-> William Afton
Help Wanted: William Afton-> Glitchtrap (digital version of William Afton)
Security Breach: Glitchtrap-> Controlling Vanny suit but also controls "Burntrap" at the very end of the game
no one knows how the fuck Glitchtrap left his body for VR and re-entered it to control Burntrap in Security Breach but here we are. they could've just made one variant of Springtrap and that would be less confusing but instead he had to "die" in a fire (that song slaps btw) and survive a bunch of other shit meaning there's a zillion different iterations of him which i KNOW this is not what Scott wanted unless this is some artistic choice and this whole time it's been regular old Springtrap (which i doubt).
anyways, the running theory is that Vanny built Burntrap using pieces of Glamrock Bonnie (if you look at Burntrap's character model, you'll see it) and original pieces of Springtrap (makes sense) and other parts she could find in the huge amalgamation part of the game- then again this theory exists because of a note in the game saying Glamrock Bonnie entered the raceway and possibly a sinkhole and that's why he disappeared.
and why did they have to introduce the concept of "remnant". NO.

People do skip over it and I honestly dk why because I loved pizza simulator. It had humor to it. Helpy is adorable and it still kills me when you play test the ballot and he misses. I know that killed Markiplier in his play through. Candy cadet is rather entertaining and spills some lore at some points. I really appreciated the lore mini games in it as well. Like
the fruity Maze arcade game that eventually turns into dead cats with the girl crying in the background.
I know midnight motorist did confuse people due to introducing an orange guy. There were arguments over who that was. Was it a coloring mistake(it is the purple guy but he’s orange and so on.
Can we just talk about that moment too when he put the youngest son in Golden Freddys mouth and just the noise it made when it went down on his head. Like that sent chills down my spine even though it was just 2d pixel sort of style.
I feel like keeping SpringTrap “alive” is just going to be the running thing at this point. I don’t really think it was Scott’s idea either. Like I know back when help wanted came out there was the theory that a child killing cult formed that idolized the purple guy with glitchtrap as the main villain. I liked that idea because it still references Springtrap but it also starts something brand new. I feel like they can only do so much more with Springtrap.
Ooo I didn’t see that note! That makes even more sense and even more likely that she did take apart Bonnie.
Wonder if this means for dlc we’ll get something like a withered glam rock Bonnie.
The remnant thing is pretty confusing and I’m glad Mattpat explained it.

Fruity Maze omg the backstory of William Afton luring Susie away with a lie that her puppy was still alive after it was hit by a car? and now she's Funtime Foxy. messed up omg. and the tears in her eyes and the way the entire board changes, that shit was so genius yet so scary.
some of Candy Cadet's stories were so gruesome and then it would end with the flashing "Game Win!" and airhorns like
he kinda reminds me of Old Man Consequences (FNAF World) bc they both seem to possess knowledge and wisdom but never share it in any kind of direct way.
i'm still having issues understanding the "Amalgamation" and how it is any different from the "Blob" at the end of Security Breach (which is estimated to be the same size if not BIGGER than Music Man) https://freddy-fazbears-pizza.fandom.com/wiki/The_Blob
there are just too many damn iterations!
you wanna know how many versions of Freddy there are?
Freddy Fazbear (FNAF 1)
Toy Freddy (FNAF 2)

Phantom Freddy (FNAF 3)
Nightmare Freddy (FNAF 4)
Funtime Freddy (Sister Location)
Yenndo (Sister Location)
Molten Freddy (Pizzeria Simulator)

I always thought it was weird how the storyline for Susie is it’s her dog but the fruity maze I swear those look like dead cats.
With Security Breach though, have you seen the Easter egg with using the camera on all of the cardboard cutouts. Their eyes glow and it turns a poster into a door that leads to where Sundrop originally jumps out.
For one thing there’s huge spider webs up in the ceiling. Like that entire area is a mess. And there’s a little tunnel that leads to an arcade machine + a note about someone trying to save the princess. But it’s lead to the question of if Sundrop is actually a human or if there’s someone else who’s been living up there. There’s photos drawn by kids hanging up.
I don’t think it’s Greggory since I don’t think he has any desire to be “saving a princess” as much as he does escaping.
I also didn’t realize how disliked Monty is. I thought he’s a well done character. At some point we had to have a character that wants to upstage Freddy. Bonnie is more of Freddys buddy.
Although I feel like Glamrock Freddy might not be as well like by the other animatronics, just due to how Roxy yells at him to get out of her room if you enter it inside him.
Yeah thanks to FNAF AR we have even more versions of Freddy lol. It never ends. Which means never ending merch and plushies. Not that I mind though because some of them look pretty cool
Like Grim Foxy and Dreadbear. Although others....like Melted Chocolate Bonnie. We already had a normal Chocolate Bonnie did we really need a melted one too lol.
I actually have some of the plushies + funko pops lol.

there has been a gender twist in the game/books (Cassidy being a boy and not a girl) before, so i wouldn't be too surprised if somehow Gregory was interested in princesses.
and OMG I HAVEN'T SEEN THAT EASTER EGG SO I WILL CHECK IT OUT!!! I LOVE ME SOME EASTER EGGS UGH!
remember when the gates with the no Monty Gator signs on them actually meant something? GOD I REALLY HOPE THEY ADD MORE.
also Matpat is gonna have a field day with those six endings omfg. in one of the endings (i forget what it's called) Gregory is sleeping outside with a newspaper to cover him up and the newspaper has info on missing children so maybe it's possible children were living up in that area with the children's drawings? either that or we have timeline issues that i don't even want to begin dreaming of.
i am praying there's stuff hidden in the game files and we haven't lost too much of Scott. also sad bc what will come after this? something tells me though that bc Scott is so young (for retirement age anyway), all he needed was a break and i think it's possible he could return in 1-2 years. he DID say he would do some RPG /small games! plus his whole FNAF Fanverse Initiative thing is amazing so technically we will always have a piece of him in other games.
i only have a small lego replica of 8-bit Freddy holding the cake for the Give Cake/Take Cake to the Children minigame lost somewhere in my room and the Silver Eyes novel which i also lost somewhere in my room idk if you saw but Game Theory partnered with Steel Wool and their new Security Breach merch is so cool!
