Twice still is bubblegum pop? I mean, besides some Tittle tracks like Scientist or More & More, everything else is not bubblegum pop

That is more contemporary sounding R'N'B. My concern is that it seems like the ladies either aren't vocally talented as some of the guys or JYPE doesn't equip the lady singers on par with the guys to be able to do good adlibs and possible short runs on the regular.

Probably gonna catch hate for this, but JYP doesn't train their gg vocals enough to do RnB.

You don’t need to be a powerful vocalist to be a r&b artist half of the k-industry is doing ballad songs when it’s more difficult to pull well than r&b songs

they don't have to be Whitney Houston level to become R&B group, there are kpop groups and artists who released R&B songs even though they didn't have strong vocals. I think jypn vocal skill is enough for this they really upped their vocals this time

this I don’t how people are generalizing everything. Jyp had 15& and 2am and still have day6 and now with lily m and haewon they can pull rnb

They were close to having one at one point. JYP had prepared an R&B girl group as an answer to YG's Big Mama back in the early days of the 2nd Gen. It contained the members Hyolyn (who later joined SISTAR), Jieun (who eventually joined SECRET), Hani (who joined EXID), and Uji (who joined BESTie). Not sure what happened, and no one's ever talking about it, but their debut got cancelled.

But I'm hopeful that JYPn can give us another taste of R&B, which used to be one of the company's biggest strengths.

Half of western artist who do RNB aren’t power vocalist. And even then, this group got Lily & Haewon in it who are powerful enough. They’ll fit either way

i want they do Cumbia and bachata. Is too much to ask?

I hope JYPn goes to this direction! I'd definitely support them.
