Which groups would be consider the leaders of 3rd generation in 2015?

I mean BTS of course.

I'd put Twice, EXO, and maybe SHINee there as well.

EXID just had Up and Down and were pretty popular

Red velvet had Ice Cream Cake which was a minor hit as well

Exo was pretty much dominating all boy groups but BTS were just starting to gain some Korean popularity cause of I Need U and Dope

A lot of future leaders weren’t super popular at the time or hadn’t debuted yet like seventeen, twice, blackpink + ioi and 2nd gen groups like Big Bang and SNSD were pretty dominant

- EXO for obvious reasons.

- BTS released INU, their turning point. Then Dope and Run.

- GOT7 with Just Right and, specially, If you do.

- Ikon broke a bunch of records with My type. Then released Rhythm Ta, Anthem, Apology and Dumb and Dumber back to back.

- Red Velvet released Ice Cream Cake, Dumb Dumb and SOTY Automatic.

Exo for sure, no debate.

BTS as well. They were really starting to get very big, especially in Korea during that time period.

As mentioned before by someone, majority of the of the third generation leaders debuted later in 2015 or later on, such as Twice, Seventeen, Blackpink, and NCT, so they can’t be included.

Everyone here forgot how Ikon hit huge with their debut it seems lol

For girl groups no one was as notable from 3rd gen actually,

EXID had decent hits even after up and down hit big, so they were doing good, RV performed decent with icc and dumb dumb as well, twice made a decnt debut with ooh aah as well
